    Update 2.0
    =========
-Tweaked the volume a bit. Peaks were reduced with a compressor then some amplification was applied. NMS audio system is not ideal. If I raised the volume too much there was distortion. So this is the best I can do.
-20 new lines added which were in VOCAL_LOCALISED.BNK. ("nearby toxins detected", "engaging attack ships", etc.)

Was it working even with Worlds Part 1?

If so, then it's easy to get it working for Worlds part 2. If you tell me it worked, I can try unpacking it and sending you the files. But only if you confirm me that it worked recently, so I don't waste time XD

Love this mod, and it worked really well, up until the Cursed Expedition update recently, then the voice defaults back to the original. Originally I used Vortex Mod Manager to install and it worked, updated this mod to v2 but still doesn't work :(

Any and all help is super appreciated..Thanks Traveler!!

OK everyone I got this to work with the current Frontiers version of No Man's Sky.  Here is how I did it.

    1.  Downloaded the current version of Inara Voice Pack.
    2.  Downloaded PSArcTool from here on No Man's Sky Nexus.
    3.  Created a temp folder on my desktop.
    4.  Placed both the PSArcTool-19-1.exe file and the _MOD.InaraVoicePack2.0.pak file into that temp directory.
    5.  I then drag and dropped the _MOD.InaraVoicePack2.0.pak file ONTO the PSArcTool-19-1.exe file, which opens a batch file, and unpacks the _MOD.InaraVoicePack2.0.pak, and reveals the AUDIO directory inside the pak file.
    6.  I went inside ?AUDIO\WINDOWS\ENGLISH(US) directory and then used Cntrl + A to select all of the WEM sound files and then right clicked and chose CUT.
    7.  I went up ONE directory to AUDIO\WINDOWS instead and then pasted all of those WEM files there.
    8. I then deleted the now empty ENGLISH(US) folder.
    9.  I then drag and dropped the newly adjusted AUDIO folder ONTO the PSArcTool-19-1.exe file again which runs another batch file, and it re-packs the entire folder for you into a brand new PAK file.
    10.  I then renamed the new PAK file to the same name as the authors which is _MOD.InaraVoicePack2.0.pak.
    11.  I then placed that file into \GAMEDATA\PCBANKS\MODS
    12.  I renamed DISABLEMODS.TXT to zzzDISABLEMODS.TXT (or simply delete the DISABLEMODS.TXT file all together).
    13.  I then started my game, and tested, and it all worked!

    Hope this helps!

These instructions worked great once I stopped trying to run the PSArcTool.exe, like a dummy, and figured out what "ONTO" means.
Dragging the pak file to the program icon from within the folder feels a lot like putting your pants on inside-out, but it really is super simple.

Anyway, I appreciate that you took the time to write this up.

I managed to get it working. Lengthy, but you can do it in about 10-15 minutes first time. Maybe less if you get used to it.

    1. extract the .pak files using psarc. You will find an AUDIO folder. Navigate through it until you get to ENGLISH(US). You should have 181 .wem files and a .bnk file.
    2. download ww2ogg and revorb.
    3. ?extract/place them in the same folder as your .wem files.
    4. create a new text document in the folder, name it however you want.
    5. copy/paste the following into the text file (replace the 024 with whatever version number of ww2ogg you have).

    for %%f in (*.wem) do "./ww2ogg024/ww2ogg.exe" %%f --pcb "./ww2ogg024/packed_codebooks_aoTuV_603.bin"
    pause
    for %%f in (*.ogg) do revorb.exe %%f
    pause

    6. save the file as .bat
    7. Run the .bat file and your folder will fill with .ogg files.
    8. Use an audio converter to change them into .wav files.
    9. Run wwise. Don't worry. The free trial will be enough for this. No need to purchase unless you really like the functionality.
    10. Create a new project in wwise. Import your .wav files into this project. Note that wwise may not play nice with cloud storage, so specify the folder you want the project in.
    11. In the leftmost pane of wwise project window, drop down lists until you find your files. Highlight them all.
    12. Set conversion options from PCM to vorbis.
    13. Hit convert. You will now have new .wem files stored in your project directory.
    14. Use bulk rename utility to quickly remove the project ID suffixes from your new wem files if wwise added an underscore and 8 digits to the file names.
    15. Navigate to the original ?ENGLISH(US) folder. Delete the entire contents and place the new .wem files inside.
    16. Exit the AUDIO folder. Drag the entire AUDIO folder onto your psarc exe. You will now have a file named psarc.pak. Rename it to something (I named mine _InaraRepacked.pak)
    17. Profit.

You can fix it in two minutes once you realise that the only issue with the mod is that some time between when the mod was published, and now, the folder structure changed.

      The old structure was AUDIO\WINDOWS\ENGLISH(US)\xxxxxxxx.WEM
      The current structure is AUDIO\WINDOWS\xxxxxxxx.WEM

All you have to do to make the mod function is move the audio files up a level, that's all

Why does the 1.0 Version work? Its only contents are .WEM files.
2.0 also has a BNK which contains like 41 more sounds but it doesn't work at all with that version.

Extracting the sounds from 2.0 and removing the BNK file, so it basically is an exact copy of 1.0, makes it no longer work.
    What is this sorcery?

We wanted to fix this and upload it here, so if anyone can give hints as to how to actualy fix this, we'd gladly do it.

The v1.0 ZH-PRC version works on FRONTIERS (I'm playing with Chinese language version of course).

I try to manually rename the asset IDs in v2.0 to Chinese(PRC) with a script and recompile the BNK but I failed (refering to the tutorial at https://stepmodifications.org/wiki/NoMansSky:Adding_or_Replacing_Audio ). The exosuit is muted completely. even the original one (v2.0 English) version does not work.
    ---
edit: after checking game file integrety with steam and repack the bnk, pak once again, I make Inara v2.0 works on Frontiers by Chinese! fyi, v2.0 added 24 additional audio assets packed inside VOCAL_LOCALISED.BNK, which is not covered by v1.0. It's far alot better than megan voice pack.

just follow the tutorial, and change WEM voice file names (the "file ID") according to SOUNDBANKSINFO.XML if you use any language other than English, and repack everything and it will just works.
One thing to pay attention is that when decompiling/compiling VOCAL_LOCALISED.BNK , the file name SHOULD NOT be changed because the file name is hashed into the file and CRITICAL for NMS game to locate the audio asset inside.

Just here to jump aboard the "Update pls" train. Love the voice, but I got complete silence ingame after installing today. TBH though it's still better than the suit voice, so I'll keep it anyway!
