Weird, I have no issue here. If you have Black Carbon, you maybe need to change the load order. I will check what can be done about it. PS : the best solution is probably to remove the two icons from Black Carbon in TEXTURES\UI\FRONTEND\ICONS\U4SUBSTANCES.
Or... I copied the two True Icons icons to the Black Carbon folder. Success. Thanks. I still think this new mod model needs some tweaking, it seems. P.S.: Games like Fallout 4 and Skyrim have plugins to change the mod load order. I couldn't find a way to do this in Vortex.
I'm having a strange issue where the True Icons mod is NOT overwriting the black carbon texture with the True Icons version even though True icons is loading AFTER Black Carbon. I do have Black Carbon included in a combined mod with some other mods for compatibility; could that be the reason? I figured it shouldn't make a difference as long as that combined mod is loading first right?
EDIT: Please disregard, I am just an idiot and was confusing - with _ in NMS mod load orders. Leaving this in here though in case anyone else makes a similar mistake :)
Hmm, I am not sure this is related, but AMUMSS gives me warning about conflicts here:
======== CONFLICTS at FILE level (conflicts of individual values are NOT checked) ======={ [[CONFLICT]] on "TEXTURES\UI\FRONTEND\ICONS\U4SUBSTANCES\SUBSTANCE.FUEL.2.DDS" (File only exists in paks below) [ >>>] - "MODS\Black Carbon 3.8.pak" [ >>>] - "MODS\True Icons 1.4.pak" [[CONFLICT]] on "TEXTURES\UI\FRONTEND\ICONS\U4SUBSTANCES\SUBSTANCE.FUEL.1.DDS" (File only exists in paks below) [ >>>] - "MODS\Black Carbon 3.8.pak" [ >>>] - "MODS\True Icons 1.4.pak" ============================ DONE CONFLICTS CHECKING ===================================}
Given that the Lo2k Mods inter-compatibility page do not specify that those mods should be merged, I have not tried to do that (and I am not sure if I could...). Beside that warning all works fine for me. In game I see the carbon icons from True Icons, that, well, also black =)
they are designed to work together, as written on this mod page : - This mod is of course not compatible with mods editing the same icons, it is compatible with Black Carbon though (icons from True Icons will apply) glad you like them :)
Hi There! Is there any way you could possibly make a LUA file for this, just for easy updating for personal use in case of a game update which causes this not to work? Would help a ton! :)
Hello, there's no need for a lua for texture mods : - they can almost never break due to an update, the only reason would be if the texture format was changed by developpers (happened once) or if they would rename/move the used textures (that never happened). You can see in the history of the mod that I never had to update it to follow a game update but because I wanted to add new icons. - they can't be merged because one conflict = the 2 mods tend to replace the same icon. So you will need to merge them manualy and keep the icon you prefer. So just use it as a trusty standalone mod, nothing to worry here :)
There's no conflict : "- This mod is of course not compatible with mods editing the same icons, it is compatible with Black Carbon though (icons from True Icons will apply)"
in AMUMSS it shows the conflict with me, if you say it is not so, of course I will rely on it. I just thought if AMUMSS says it, it is so. Was also not meant badly, please do not misunderstand. Sorry for my bad English, is not my language.^^
Is it possible you could make a combined mod "True Icons + Black Carbon" so that AMUMSS won't say there's a conflict? I use a lot of mods and I rely on it to tell me when there is a conflict.
both AMUMSS and I are right. AMUMSS detects both mods edit the same carbon Icon and raises a conflict BUT even if it will only apply one icon at the end, I know by experience (and because I designed it this way) that it's the right icon that will apply in the end (True Icon's one).
Question: Would it be possible to persuade you to make a version with a slightly transparent icon background??
EDIT: Just realized it was the wrong mod.. Wanted to ask in the Colourless Inventory discussion.. But now I wonder where this actually applies.. never the less made a comment there as well..

And, BTW, icons are great! ^_^

Could you create a lua for True Icons, unfortunately I can not.

Thanks for this beautiful mod :)
