The Lua is still very valid for those running more legacy versions of the game, of which there is a significant number, still gets 80-100 downloads per update. Much of my build and update process is automated, so would need some surgery on that to remove the mod from updating. Eventually, I'll turn this one into .lua only.
Even then, once I do that, it'll still have version number increments with updates, as I've found the hard way over the years, it cuts down on POSTS that I have to answer. With over 100 published NMS mods, answering POSTS can be a VERY time consuming task for me. :)
I see, thanks for the explanation. I think its still confuses new players (they see mod is updated, so must be useful) + people playing on older NMS version are probably torrent pirates :)
As far as new players goes, it will still work, if they haven't yet figured out the difficulty settings yet, so won't hurt anything if they use it. As far as legacy being pirates, doubtful, as latest version is readily available to them. Some out there who do pirate, both legacy and current, but can't really tell who does and doesn't from the mod perspective. There's actually a thriving community of people who play old versions, with their own lists of useable mods. I don't engage much with them, but keep an eye on their conversations about what's going on in that realm. I've also seen people disable game updating, because they don't like having to update their mods every version. Get several people asking how to do this on the NMS Discords every month. One guy, who comes seeking mod support every so often hasn't updated his game in two years, but still plays.
This may need to be looked at for desolation update, it still sort of works, but in 8 hours of game play, have been aggro'd 3 times. Way less than if no mod, but not 100%.
For anyone checking posts to see if it's working, yeah, it works. Author keeps their stuff updated. Though if you use Jetpack Enhanced, one of the two mods won't work. Always remember to check which files are edited by mods, unlike a certain stupid someone who may or may not be me.
Hello! Just downloaded and installed the predator suppressor mod and I have some pretty severe issues with the camera on foot, as well as no steering available when in flight. I've un-installed but wanted to let you know. Your mods are fantastic, and thanks for making them! I hope this feedback helps!
Ok so.....Not working. At least on those planets with the cat things that drop the Feline Livers. Nothing else has attacked me yet but I've only been on maybe four planets since installation. Question...Why two files this time when before was always a single file? Question...since these feline liver dropping beasties are a new addition could another file be responsible other than the one you typically alter?
Also fyi I have been on here for the last 15 years under the name warhagg. Just lost my login.
