Still a great mod and still works with the latest Worlds update in 2025. Now mods can load as loose files, no need to repack.
I've uploaded the unpacked English ISAAC Voice Pack: https://mega.nz/file/fIFxDAQA#XXpeBRvIwBoPTwkrsMiVwK5j675jATtbe61DxcSR83Y
Extract this to the MODS folder so the structure resembles: No Man's Sky\GAMEDATA\MODS\ISAACVoicePack-Worlds\AUDIO\WINDOWS\4494640.WEM
To unpack it yourself, or for any of the provided localizations, download the pak from files tab, extract it with PSArcTool, and place the files in the same location. All set!
An essential mod, here is how anyone can repack it for the latest game version (up to Worlds!):
Grab PSArcTool and unpack _MOD.ISAACVoicePack.pak, you will get an AUDIO folder - Optionally grab a known working voice/audio mod to compare with and unpack it separately. Don't let them mix.
The old folder structure is like this: AUDIO\WINDOWS\ENGLISH(US)\4494640.WEM - This changed at some point, you can get the current structure by looking at the working mod.
The current structure in Sentinels is like this: AUDIO\WINDOWS\4494640.WEM - Just move the entire contents of ENGLISH(US) up one level, and then delete the empty folder.
Repack the mod, you'll want to drag the fixed AUDIO folder directly onto PSArcTool.exe, no extra folders. - You can rename psarc.pak to anything you like (_MOD.ISAACVoicePack-Sentinels.pak)
If you still don't hear the suit audio, make sure your pak is being created properly by unpacking and repacking the known working mod and trying that. Make sure there are no other suit voice mods present in your MODS folder as well. Hoping the creator has a chance to repack this for the general users!
this is the only mod i've found i can't play the game without (the OG suit voice is just a grating noise to my ears now), and i have absolutely no mod experience, so you are a lifesaver!
From reading the comments on the Inara Voice Pack mod, it looks like the audio encoding (to vorbis) is also a factor in getting it to work these days.
If you still hear the old AI voice in your version though, I wonder if it's packing correctly, with the right hierarchy? If the files are there even with the wrong encoding, one would think the audio simply wouldn't play.
I tried every possible hierarchy: with or without ENGLISH(US) folder. Original AI voice what I hear all the time. I use MEGAN Exosuite AI Voice now, unpacked it to see what's going on... Every .wem file are in the ENGLISH(US) folder...and it is working.
So maybe I am doing something wrong, and I am sure I am considering other have gotten this to work. I cannot get mine to work and I can't play the game without it LOL. I would appreciate any insight. I have never used the PSArc tool before, and my extent of modding consists of picking files that work on the current version of the game.
@Jay33721 Hey, thanks for nailing the character on this mod! It really is an essential for many of us. I don't think any audio needs redone, though IIRC updates over the years have added a handful of new lines.
I've uploaded my repack made using the earlier guide here, hope it's fine since @RangerDulann hasn't been active in a while: https://mega.nz/file/DA0m1A7C#VxxFsPWYNLXhofm1cvgi_hqmi7v0nXcOfyCVdicWbog
If you download the appropiate File for your Game Language from the download section you should be good, no need to repack or do anything else. I looked at the Folder Structure in the Main .pak file from NMS and the Folders are as they used to be. Example: \AUDIO\WINDOWS\GERMAN or \AUDIO\WINDOWS\ENGLISH(US)
Probably won't come as a surprise given how long ago the last update was, but unfortunately appears to no longer be working at the time of writing (scanner voice is silent). Would be nice to see this come back, if possible.
When reading "Localized support" I actually thought he would speak in that actual languages. Sadly thats not the case. The current description is misleading, you might want to clearify that.
I have updated it, unfortunately, due to his permissions, I'm not allowed to share at the moment I have sent him a request for permissions, for this and his INARA version.
is there any chance you can point me in a direction to where i can learn how to update the mod myself? it seems the mod owner is unable or unwilling to update the mod at the moment, and i really don't want to play without it, any help would be appreciated.
Yes its better to just give instructions on how to update this mod rather then waiting for a mod author to come back and allow it (whom is probably no longer interested in NMS at all anymore).
HI, sorry, I've only just seen these messages. The mod is now outdated again due to Desolation. I have attempted to update it, to no avail so far. There are some tutorials to modding online, via a wiki, there is a Discord channel, there are also a couple of modding 'apps' available on Nexus. "NMS Modding Station" is the one I use.
And yet this mod is still working for me, even with the Origins Update. I have the Mod Voice in my Game, I just had to start the game once without the mod and then I reinstalled it.
Thank you so much for the amazing mod! However, the exo suit is completely silent in my game. Could anyone help me out? The only other mods I use are Stack Multiplier, Faster Analisys and Better Rewards. Not sure what could be causing the issue... Thanks in advance!
EDIT: Nevermind, it seems the exo mech uptade broke this mod. I hope we get an update soon! :')

I was about to do the same with the inara voice, but wasn't sure if it'd still work

I wonder if the original author would be ok for volunteers to post the updated paks here...
I tried your method with Inara Voice 2.0, but it doesn't work. I can still hear the old annoying AI voice.

It was so amazing and the author seems to be gone...
