Ps . Does anyone do the create mode and if so does that have a limit on build range ? reply on forum topic please
Absolutely. We have until now the 2 global bug: 1. Reposition the base computer at start. An exception is, if you have already created the 1st starting point of the base, then we continue to use the Base boundary mod, which allows you to activate the base geo-point at a long distance by performing the 1st transfer of the base geo-point. 2. There are no active building snap points into constructor before creating the 1st base geo-point. As practice shown for us, during the initial creation of a geo-point need at least 5 building elements with active snap points, are enough to determine the required height along the X, Y, Z axes. 3. And finally, we have futured non-existent building elements (construction template) which help for us to solve this problem. Well, Hello Games, please fix this "global" error. The trick, on how to get around this limitation, was described above.
Thank dude, I hate leaving it untouched, glad to have someone else take over it for me, as I know its been quite useful for others. Keep up the good work, you are a great for doing this :)
Sorry for late reply bro . I feel honoured to have been given the chance to carry on this mods legacy so others can continue to enjoy it . Its sad when great mods are left behind for various reasons but at least there are some of us "modders" who are willing to take over the mod and try to update and keep them alive.
I currently dont play the game and havent had the time to redo anything for this mod, but if anyone is willing to take it over/update it, I would greatly appreciate it. I had no clue just how vital this mod is to others and I wish I had more time to put into updating it but life is getting in the way of many things but I dont want just leave yall hanging.
Ok that's not a problem thank you for at lest letting us know, I have made a post in the forums to see if someone can take over/ update this hope that's ok by you.
I may be able to take over this mod for you - as i stated on forum i may be able to do either ... range extend or remove range - removal is a diff file to edit to range extend . If people can let me know what they are after range extend along with an idea of how far to extend . I can also do a range removal version but as i said its a different file to edit
I'm not sure of an exact limit, but the same limit options as this mod seem like a good place to start. For simplicity's sake, it would probably be best to go with the max of 20x. This is a very useful mod, especially for being able to reach distant resources, so it would be great if you were able to continue it if it was not too much trouble.
Hi Spiritz666 Its great that you have been having a go at updating this mod and anything that you can come up with will be very much appreciated, not sure if this will help in anyway I have been able to extend the bounders of the base computer to 995u to do this by just placing an object (light or anything else), the best way is to have your building menu open and on the right hand side you can see what area you are editing just keep walking in one direction and as soon as that goes blank step back into your area and place an item this seems to increase the radius slightly, with this I'm able to get to 995 maximum where as before I was able to get to 2000u and probably more, just never needed too!!.
Hi all just so everyone knows at this moment in time there is no working mod for this although Spiritz666 & Northener69 have had a go unfortunately with no success, but there is a way the only thing is it requires a bit of work from you first, i'v done a quick quide here: https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/8157563-extend-the-base-boundary-limits/.
I can confirm that it is still working after the Synthesis update and if you do use this just make sure that you place more then you may need ie electromagnetic generators ect before updating the game because if you need to add more you will have to go through the procedure again (unless you have kept the old files) then its just the matter of cutting n pasting as mentioned.
Hi all Iv just done a guide for anyone that whats to build outside of the radius of the base computer , as at this time there is no mods that are working with the newest versions of NMS, it does involve some work but i can confirm that using this does work.
I`ll do this as a new comment , Firstly ive done a test and using a lua script i tested gohirro`s 20x version and sadly the game stuck to 300u range. Did a bit more testing and it would appear this Mod sadly is now unable to be used .. which is very sad . The edits this mod makes to GCBUILDINGGLOBALS.GLOBAL.MBIN seems to be ignored by the game - verified by some of the comments below Im going to try a few things - ive managed to build room out of range but im unable to add another object onto it . Im going to keep at this so watch this space for updates ( i think its going to need a few files to edit ) .
Please update this mod, as it doesn't work after the latest game update. I can place objects thanks to another mod, but without that mod, this mod doesn't seem to do anything at all.

Good luck with the mod.
