Ever wonder what the Vy'keen manning your base's exocraft terminal does when
you're not around? Unlike the lazy schmucks at the other terminals, he's been
working hard on a significant improvement to your exocraft's scanning modules.
This enhancement dramatically expands the number of locations types you can
search for, including some new custom icons. In addition to the normal
locations, here are the new structures available:
Level 1 (Basic scanning module installed)
[*]Trading Posts
[*]Minor Settlements (aka shops)
[*]Observatories
[*]Transmission Towers
Level 2 (Second scanning module installed)
[*]Crashed Starships
[*]Crashed Freighters
[*]Distressed NPC
Level 3 (Third scanning module installed)
[*]Manufacturing Facilities
[*]Operation Centres

QUESTION:
But, Lentalis, exocraft storage slots are limited! I don't want all them scanner module thingies taking up space!
ANSWER:
Ok, you gaming grifter, I have provided a version of the mod that only requires the initial scanner module to be installed and gives you access to every single location type. May God forgive your nefarious soul.

QUESTION:
Yo, Lentalis, your mod be more broke than Sean Murray's wallet
before No Man's Sky launched. It never finds anything!
ANSWER:
No, my fretful friend, the mod is most likely not broken. The range of the
scanner is somewhat limited (meaning it doesn't scan the entire planet). All
attempts I've made at increasing the range have failed. Most likely there just
isn't a building within range.

QUESTION:
Man, I just drove by a shop on the way to the one the scanner found. Your mod
definitely be broke!!
ANSWER:
Distraught driver, as with a number of features in No Man's Sky, some
things just don't make sense. It seems when the scanner finds multiple
matching locations, it gives you the one that is furthest away. Why? Logic
fails me, but it appears to be hardcoded in the game.

QUESTION:
The scanner took me back to a location I had already been to. Your mod
positively, absolutely be broke!
ANSWER:
Sorry, iritated interloper, that happens even with the unmodded scanner. It
all depends on what locations are within the scanner's range.

QUESTION:
Oh nooooo, I have other exocraft mods installed. Does that mean I can't use
this one?
ANSWER:
Be happy, troubled traveler! Unless your other mod(s) directly affect exocraft scanning locations, they should work just fine with this mod. Mods that affect exocraft performance, or even scanner recharge rate should work fine. For your reference, the only native NMS files this mod alters are:
METADATA\SIMULATION\SCANNING\VEHICLESCANTABLE.MBIN
METADATA\SIMULATION\SCANNING\SCANEVENTTABLEVEHICLE.EXML

QUESTION:
Does this mod do anything for the Nautilus?
ANSWER:
No. Screw the Nautilus. Go play Subnautica.

QUESTION:
I am just a noob boy from a noob family! How do I install this?
ANSWER:
Shhhhh, don't tell anyone, but here's my super-secret formula for mod
installtion:
[*] Download the version of the mod you want (normal or cheat)
[*] Unzip the mod
[*] Copy the .PAK file to your No Man's Sky\GAMEDATA\PCBANKS\MODS folder. For
Steam versions of the game, it will usually be
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\No Man's Sky\GAMEDATA\PCBANKS\MODS".
If the folder doesn't exist, create it.
[*] Go find something
