I think this mod is just a visual change, the issue that HG is referencing is probably due to the actual collision geometry with some of the newer ships. I may be wrong however.
Hey there, Thanks for the mod. I haven't played in years but the issue you solved had quickly become a pet peeve of mine. Alas, I experience something similar entering and exiting space (and Atlas) stations, as well. It's as if I bump into something that sends me spinning. Only visual, nothing actually happens, but still...
Unless it's something on my end, or there already is a mod dealing with that, is it possible to add a fix for that, as well? Thanks again!
It may be related to keys still being pressed after the tractor beam gets a hold of your ship. It's a relatively rare thing for me, especially compared to the freighter stuff, but still annoying when it happens. Also, thanks for the quick response!
Please, don't waste too much time on this. It might just be me... lol.
If I understand what you're talking about correctly, are you talking about when you go to enter the space station, your ship will all of a sudden "bounce" and turn sideways then it straightens back up? If so, that happens to me as well and it has happen quiet a few times since the W2 update. I also get this thing when I'm entering my freighter, my ship will sometime stop, like it's waiting for the inside cell of my hanger to load or waiting for a ship to leave, then it proceeds to normal landing.
Don't suppose you can do anything about the insane volume when you land on a freighter? XD Some times it just seems to play the sound 20 times on top of itself.
I'm no programmer, but aren't all these values with the double line in front of them disabled? Are they not used by the mod anymore? I may be misunderstanding the lua file structure, but it looks like this mod alters 14 different things, but only 5 of them are "active". I don't know what the individual values actually affect in-game, but some of these look like they could actually be useful like landing speed and take off align time.
you guessed right. These were leftover of different tests I conducted. At the end, only the five uncommented lines were needed for the mod, but the other properties could have some effect.
There was a mod called Silent Freighter Hangar Doors doing it, but I can't find it anymore. It seems it is a subset of Silent Annoying Sounds mod though.
Never really had issues until this most recent update. I installed this mod to try and fix the issue. Though, since installing the mod, it has fixed my exit, but now my entry is borked (at least with the Pirate Freighter), where I enter way to low, clipping through the freighter walls to land.
Lo2k, I LOVE your Mods and have endorsed several of them which I've been using for quite some time now. Recently I discovered several mods that were total lifesavers, like the No particles or dust clouds in space. That was totally annoying and so unrealistic. Thank you for that!
I would like make a small request for something I haven't come across yet but believe is doable. It seems that after the worlds update, the little colored circles or landing pad tractor beams which appear over landing pads as you approach them, don't change green (indicating you can now trigger a landing) until you're practically on top of them. They used to turn green when you were much further out and I enjoyed being able to zoom in from space to land at my bases with little navigational effort. I'd like a mod script which would enable me to adjust that sensitivity value to trigger a landing a little sooner. I know how to use AMUMSS and would be able to merge it with other mod scripts of yours I'm currently using. Anyway, thanks for all you do and thanks in advance for considering my request. :)
exiting the freighter is fixed, but when entering it i still fly through the bottom door. the little toe of it that sticks out since for some reason they just dont open fully.
As of now this mod causes an infinite loading screen when you select your save at startup. Only downloaded it yesterday so not sure if the issue started before or after the latest update.
This mod was almost lost as the issue was fixed in a previous game update, but thanks to your report, I took a second shot at it and noticed that not only the issue was back, but some other things could be fixed. So I just renamed and re-released this mod on its improved version. Enjoy and thanks for the report !

Does this affect this mod in any way?
Ouch, it seems we now leave the freighter at 45 degrees. Weird.
