Quick Start removes the tutorial mission you would normally have to go through every time you start a new game in Normal, Survival or Permadeath. When you reach your ship you'll receive all the necessary blueprints for continued exploration and materials for constructing the hyperdrive. I didn't want to make things too easy though so you'll still need to repair the pulse drive and launcher with gathered materials. The story is set to start from chapter 2, so once you manage to leave your starting planet you'll gain immediate access to the Anomaly/Nexus.
