      Thank you!
I am kind of worried that Nioh 3 won't be as good as Nioh 2 from what I've seen from videos of the demo.

Nioh 2 runs smoothly on my PC but Wo Long was atrocious and I have to put everything on low and the resolution on 1280 x 720 just to have 50-60 FPS. I have never played such a poorly optimized game before. I've heard that Rise of the Ronin did also have performance issues so I am worried for that aspect.

When it comes to gameplay, I don't like all the changes they made. For comparison, the feelings I have is like if From Software made Sekiro 2 but removed the deflects(core mechanic) and the prosthetics tools(combo potentials) but put shoulders weapons and assault boost from Armored Core. It doesn't make sense to me.

First, the switching characters mechanic split the weapons in 2 category and now you have to manage 2 set of armors that also are split in 2 and ruin your fashion. Weapons combinations are toned down and I dislike the ninja mode. From what I heard, it act like a ninja gaiden mode but I don't want to play around a faster attacks-dodges like in Dark Souls but want the stances management. It's what makes Nioh Nioh.
Additionally, I don't find that the 2 modes works great each other because it seems like you can totally play in only one mode and are too independant from each other. What it would be interesting is that the ninjutsu are powerful but have a cool down so, while they are reloading, you are playing in samurai mode and don't have to attack in ninja mod to gain back your ninjutsu.

The second thing I hate is the soul core - magic fusion. In Nioh 2, soul cores create a whole dimension of combo potential because you can cancel almost any animations with it and regenerate ki. So when you are out of ki, you use anima, when you are out of anima you use ki. It's so genius that it's sad they are reduced into boring items.

Finally, a minor issue I found are the animations of Kusanagi(Sohayamaru equivalent). It looks like they overdo with the flashy stuff and the crit animation is a bunch of slashes that don't feel impactful. In Nioh 2, I love the stab followed with the spinning sheathing animations. It's simple, brutal and stylish.
On the other hand, it's the other way around when it comes to burst counter. The slap from Brute, the kick from Feral, the spinning blades from Phantom with on top of that the yokai voice of your character are so great. In Nioh 3, the samurai and ninja doesn't even come close to this quality. I looks like I am beeing picky but we see these animations a lot during our playtime so it does have it's importance. Also I prefer the resources bars on the top left rather than on the center since it stretches your sight because it's on the lower half of the screen.

On a final note, I would say that Nioh 2 had a very clear direction which is playing a hybrid and is a direct upgrade from Nioh 1. Nioh 3 on the other hand wanted to innovate but doesn't know exactly how and just put ninja mode because they are Team Ninja. I would prefer that they experiment these mechanics on other projects like Wo Long an Rise of the Ronin did and played safe for Nioh serie.
I hope I am wrong at the released version because these changes feel like either love it or hate it.

I didnt watch much gameplay since I dont want to spoil the game for myself, but from what ive seen they took things from Rise of Ronin and combined it with Nioh like with the open world and Ui. One thing which im concerned about is having a boring open world like Rise of Ronin, I agree about the soul cores being reduced to items and the lack of weapon variety like the tonfas and splitstaff. But overal i think the gameplay looks solid.

About performance, it seems to run well on ps5 so i hope its optimized for PC unlike Wo Long and Rise of Ronin.
