Thx for the great work! Tho the shaders file is not doing anything, when I put em in the ShaderFixes Files literally nothing happens. I just wanna to disable the shaders. When I unzip the file nothing was poping out, but also nothing was changed in the game. I haven't activated HDR and motion blur, so kinda hopeless here. I would be so appriciated if this could be solved
Shaders that go in SharderFixes are supposed to remove the glowing (outlining) effect of elements my mods are made with these settings in mind: Motion Blur OFF & DLSS OFF, NO HDR if you say they do nothing, it's either the case that one setting you use is different, or something funky happened with your game's shaders, and on that I can't really speculate.
also make sure you have the nioh mod enabler, and it's on**
No changes to Poison and Paralysis? Was that just because they're forgettable, or because they're different to edit? Cuz I'd love to get those customizeable too
I completely forgot about paralysis and poison as elements, since I never use them LMAO
but I think the mod still covers them, accidently by default, they don't have that shiny weapon overlay, and part of their visual effects gets removed by the existing .ini files
Yes, it does not support DLSS or MOTION BLUR I personally don't use those, so I don't construct my mods to accommodate them, since it's extra work (dlss not supported on my gtx1080 anyway, so I can't really add it)
Awesome! It is more reasonable for remove glow above the weapon I would like to keep only aura on the blade And I noticed that if using the hideyoshiblade mod the aura will dispear so need to change ini as below ;[ShaderOverrideN2_BladeEffect_2] ;hash = bdb11991b6826d33 ;run = CommandListN2General
hmm, interesting, although I am not 100% sure of what mod & effect you are talking about, it would be great if you could post a screenshot of this, to make it clearer.
But as I said in the end notes... the game has a lot of effects tied to the same few shaders/buffers, so when you change something specific, other unexpected things might change at the same time, and you don't get an idea of it until you see them in game in different scenarios and it becomes obvious (what's missing)
also, you can only download/use the glow remove from shaders, it's not required to have the other part for auras
If using the mod at the same time, the aura above weapon will not work, this is one of the unexpected thing that I found and took long time to solve it. I hope someone find this information helpful :)
thanks for the response, but without seeing what effect you are talking about in game, it's not as useful as I would have liked.
But I tested this myself, and I'm 99.9% sure this elemental effect remove mod has NO influence on anything related to the sohayamaru dagger (Hide Blade) visual effects.
I disabled all my mods, and looked at Remove Hide Blade mod only, then at Elemental effect Remove mod only with sohayamaru dagger on and then tested the interaction between them, having them BOTH ENABLED
If you are talking about that BARELY VISIBLE "PULSE" that sohayamaru dagger has when you have Remove Hide Blade mod enabled... well that thing is something that is NOT REMOVED by Remove Hide Blade mod (because probably the original author forgot about it or did not observe that it existed),
so yet again... this mod has no effect on Remove Hide Blade mod, from what I tested myself but if you think it has some weird interaction, please leave a screenshot of this effect in game, so I can see it
Hmm, I try to understand what you mean with the Remove Hide Blade mod, but when I do this changes you show, nothing happens, so I'm not sure...
BUT IF YOU MEAN "WHY DOES AURA DISAPPEAR ON WEAPON?" WELL THAT IS THE "ELEMENTAL VISUAL EFFECT REMOVE MOD" !!!
THIS .INI IS RESPONSABLE FOR THE DIFFERENCE IN YOUR SCREENSHOTS: remove_elemental_aura.ini
I clearly stated in the description that the SHADER files you put in ShaderFixes WILL REMOVE ONLY THE GLOW
AND THE REST OF THE EFFECTS... THE AURA IS REMOVED BY THE .INI FILES IN THE MODS FOLDER if you have the mod, I set it up by default to have " remove_elemental_aura.ini" enabled, so this removes the blue aura in your screenshots. If you don't like this, you DISABLE this .ini
Every .ini file in the mod folder will remove 1 aspect of the elemental weapon effects
So you don't have to download BOTH things if you only want the glow removed, they are not both required, THEY DON'T NEED EACH OTHER, for one of them to work.
Try going to the mod's folder and if any of the .ini files you see have "DISABLED" in their name, just remove it from all their names, that should remove all weapon effects
Basically the elemental effects removed folder you put in your Mods folder is made in such a way to not be FULLY activated, removing every effect... By default the only thing it removes is the "elemental aura", and it's this file >>> remove_elemental_aura.ini
ALL THE OTHER FILES IN THERE ARE DISABLED, SEE THIS?

I just found out that I've played the game 300hs with DLSS performance on
now that I turned it off, everything's working finely.

just changing Remove Hide Blade mod and aura on weapon appears
What I ONLY changed
I dont know what conflict happend, I just found it works.

WELL THAT IS THE "ELEMENTAL VISUAL EFFECT REMOVE MOD" !!!

Hopefully this makes it clear...
but I want to competely remove visual effects on weapons (such as removing lighting on Raikiri),what should I do?
Try going to the mod's folder and if any of the .ini files you see have "DISABLED" in their name, just remove it from all their names,
that should remove all weapon effects
Basically the elemental effects removed folder you put in your Mods folder is made in such a way to not be FULLY activated, removing every effect...
By default the only thing it removes is the "elemental aura", and it's this file >>> remove_elemental_aura.ini
ALL THE OTHER FILES IN THERE ARE DISABLED, SEE THIS?
DISABLED remove_elemental_permanent_flow.ini
DISABLED remove_elemental_periodic_flow.ini
DISABLED remove_elemental_particles_purity.ini
DISABLED remove_elemental_particles_fire.ini
DISABLED remove_elemental_particles_lightning1.ini
DISABLED remove_elemental_particles_lightning2.ini
DISABLED remove_elemental_particles_water1_corruption.ini
DISABLED remove_elemental_particles_water2.ini
IF YOU WANT ALL EFFECTS TO DISAPPEAR, YOU HAVE TO GO TO THESE FILES AND RENAME THEM,
REMOVING "DISABLED" FROM THEIR NAME, LIKE THIS:
DISABLED remove_elemental_permanent_flow.ini >>> remove_elemental_permanent_flow.ini
DISABLED remove_elemental_periodic_flow.ini >>> remove_elemental_periodic_flow.ini
...
...
...
DISABLED remove_elemental_particles_water2.ini >>> remove_elemental_particles_water2.ini
etc ... the same thing for every singe one
I made the mod this way so anyone can disable whatever specific part of the effect they personally don't like...
the .ini files will REMOVE effects, if they don't have "DISABLED" in their name (this means they are not working at the moment)
Hopefully this clears it up for you...
Just read the description more carefully.
