Hello again! I was playing throught the game again and noticed something while running througth the yoshitatsu mission (final main mission of region 2)...there's swords on the main castle walls that look like this: https://ibb.co/rwHsMHm
I'm pretty sure this model doesn't belong to any particular weapon, so...I was wondering if there's a way you could grab that sheath and sword design (not necesarily with the actual proportions) and slap it on a usable sword model? something like the senjuin tachi comes to mind. or the juzumaru tsunetsugu for the cool purity effects.
i dont know about static objects that arent part of the pc or npc can be analysed by mod enabler frame analysis. but can you upload it to imgur? cant seem to access it. if i can i'll try
oh shiet, sorry for not answering earlier, i had internet problems. I don't have an imgur account and for some reason imgur doesn't let me sign in...maybe we coul try using a different site?
nice mod! would it be posssible you made a variation of this mode using the model of the seki kanenori dual uchigatana instead? (specifically the one with the big white detail on the sheath)
they both look great, thank you if you have the time and you don't mind, there is a Katana(single sword) called Heshikiri Hasebe, could you please make it replace Tokagemaru like these mods?
I ran into a problem; there were two extra meshes that didnt make it in the replacement. i.e the ones with physics on it(the one on the scabbard and one on the hilt)
reason: The Heshikiri Hasebe weapon has 2 extra hash that tokagemaru doesnt have. Also, the physics dont work when i add it. it looks jarring to see a static object like that so i just omitted it. sorry
Also i noticed these Engravings on the sword, can these be disabled by changing something in the code or it requires a lot of work? i hope i am not bothering you with my questions/requests, if i do i apologize.
You need an editing software like paint.net (https://getpaint.net) then open scabbard-ps-t0 on it. it's free to download
then from the toolbox to your left screen, find eclipse select then select any part of texture with that (preferably any dark patch of texture) , then copy and paste it, then move it to the engravings make sure you align and resize it to the edge of the engravings properly.
if you want to recolor the dark patches, paste it on the first engraving, then from the toolbox, find recolor, to resize the color picker, there's a brush size option on the top of your screen, just pick a value and go for it
to pick out the color you want, i recommend the color picker (just click on a color you like from the image) and then plaster it on the dark patches. there's also a color wheel option menu that opens up, if you dont find it, press f8
then copy paste it on the other engravings and you should be done
to save just cntrl+S or file>save
if a save configuration popup occurs select from the dropup menu "BC7 (sRGB, DX+11), that's the format of most nioh 2 textures. then save. make sure it's in .dds format before you do.
let me know if you have other questions regarding this and i'll try to answer.
if you want to get in the modding scene of this game, here's the thread i learned from https://www.loverslab.com/topic/162388-nioh-2-modding-thread-and-discussion/?tab=comments#comment-3282557
are the engravings tied to the Scabbard? because they are on the blade itself not the Scabbard also is there a texture file for the engravings only because i cant find it ?
if you are talking about the engravings on the weapons you already have done, then if you look at the pictures that you uploaded there are some on the blade of the weapon itself and i think these are coming from (overlapping) the scabbard and the handle of the sword Tokagemaru. And if you are talking about Raikiri, then its on the blade(looks like a dragon) https://imgbox.com/3Odn2Z72

it's part of the tokagemaru effect sadly i cant do anything to it
it will be the same as tokagemaru because the lightning effect will be gone since it's tied to the actual raikiri
thank you for all of these great mods and keep up the great work
