EDIT: I figured it out for myself. I made it replace the Yatagarasu Headband (a piece of headwear that doesn't block the hair). This causes the hair to clip a bit if you have a ponytail, but honestly I still prefer it over no hair. Just replace the author's .ini file with this one: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1DCKonnGVQJIaa0a8Lj_1T4IbCdPTdILQ/view?usp=sharing. Then it should work! If it doesn't let me know and I'll see if I can help
This is just what I wanted! I have one question: is there a way I can make it not hide my characters hair? I'm going for a Lady Maria cosplay (obviously) and she has a ponytail which I would like to be able to see. If I make it replace something like, the kodama bowl for example, would I be able to see my characters hair? If so how would I go about doing this?
I purposedly choose The Legendary Strategist Hood to prevent clipping, if you're fine with the clipping then simply replace it with one of the headbands in-game.
The mod replaced The Legendary Strategist Hood, so try to get strategist hood or refashion any helmet with one, if refashion it doesn't work then I will find the fix today.
Sorry for the month late reply, I don't check Nexus too often. But make sure the original mod's files are in a folder in within the mod folder, and then just replace the .ini with the one included in the link. Look at these pictures to get an idea of the file address. Once in game, press F10 to refresh the mods. Make sure you're wearing the Yatagarasu Headband, or a headpiece refashioned to the Yatagarasu Headband. Then it should work. Ofc this is assuming you have the Nioh 2 Mod Enabler installed.?
Awesome mod, amazing that there's already armor mesh imports. Could you port armors from dark souls 3 such as elite knight, etc? Would be nice to have a little variety as all male armor looks so samey..
The way mesh modding in Nioh works in quite a peculiar way. if I want to do what you suggested, at a minimum I need to remake at least 200-700 vertex group one by one- by hands, there's no other way around this yet, for me to edit one vertex group (from my experience experimenting) I spend around 2 hours, so, for example, the flying Kato max has 330 vertex group- roughly 2 hours per group means I will at least spend around 660 hours at a minimum, which mean it would be around a full month excluding sleep and break time for modding only the Flying Kato Mask.
Frankly, I don't mind if anyone can support me and make sure I still can pay my bills and eat while making something like that, but you know how it is.
I understand, thanks for the detailed reply. I had no idea it was such trouble to do something like that, maybe in the future we'll get some better tools to make the process simpler. Here's hoping!
I hope so, although other people who already know 3D modelling probably found it a bit easier or even go with a shorter time. I can't do much because I literally try to touch 3D stuff a week ago and know what Blender is few days after that.
