Why make a mod out of this when it's already in the built-in game? I mean, it sounds sometimes when you start the game.
In fact, it was shown on Twitter when it was a few days before the game came out, although it was censored. In the game it is listened to without censorship.
On the original game it would play immediately during the startup logos. On the remaster you have to wait for the intro movie to loop once (unless it's been changed).
For nostalgia purposes, the remaster is just not the same, it feels like soft censorship how they don't have it front and center like the original.
For those using other default programs for .mp3; change the name of .exe in the .bat file here taskkill /F /IM wmplayer.exeExample for win10 Music app: taskkill /F /IM Music.UI.exe The "loader" simply plays the mp3 clip as the game starts. I wouldn't quite call it a mod - more like QoL improvement while skipping dumb intros
I put a lot of thought into specifying opening with wmplayer, instead of default programs, for the sake of ease-of-installation and the worse case scenario; someone doesn't play for a few days and the next time they try to play- iTunes or something opens in the background. And I didn't even test that it worked...
Thank you star67!, for bringing this to light. At the expense of being slightly more confusing to edit, I fixed the .bat to actually open with wmplayer. And it's toats a mod, cool to see people thinking of it as an improvement, let alone a QoL improvement, nice, still makes me laugh that I uploaded a bat file to the nexus.
