Thank you for your comments.If you just want to make mods about weapons, the guide what you mentioned is good enough. If you want to take things a step further, like characters, etc., maybe you can go to discord's NieR: Modding for help. The people there are really nice.

Lovely mod for immersion! Although, there is no back and forth function, it is quite nice to roam around with your flight unit in conjuction with Free Roam Map Collision Rework mod.
