NOTE: it's been found that the 2021 update was meant to update the DLC packages too, but due to depot issues Steam overwrites the DLC with the older 2017 versions.
If you want to use the latest 2021 files, take a look at the top section of my "Automata Downgrade/Upgrade guide", it's only a few clicks to update to the newer files
(the guide also covers optionally downgrading to the 2017 version for better performance, in case anyone needs it)
For those who are not getting it working on the latest update of Nier Automata download version 0.75.1 and rename xinput1_4.dll to dinput8.dll. Then proceed to use the latest LodMod 2025 update and use the LodMod.ini file only. Open the file and change the values to these:
LODMultiplier = 100 DisableManualCulling = false
Try in Anusement Park Where the bridge is and the Big Gate where the little robot with the white flag appears during the mission you will notice that the horrible walls are no longer visible with LOW LOD and will be visible with high LOD at very long distance with no impact on performance

Is there any way other than enabling the debug log to check if its actually working? With the default settings I honestly cannot tell a difference. Same horrendous amount of pop-in as before. It's making the log at the very least but I'm not sure. I also get weird flickering AO while leaving the resistance camp as well, which the mod is supposed to fix.
Any chance of porting the h264 codec functionality to mgrr? It uses an extremely similar USM reading technique as Nier, practically the same. But this isnt compatable by default with mgrr.
Thanks for the update!!!, one question, disablevignette is intended to remove transparent black bars on cinematics?, or that's another effect and i'm thinking it´s not working?
I dont really see a difference between the 2021 patch and having this on/off, except that i get have performance issues with this on. The LOD also seems to let you see stuff that shouldnt be visible, if you go to the flooded city, you can actually see the amusement park floating in mid air near a bridge in the background.
xinput1_4 file just fucks up Dualsense controller support. Like the game starts to detect only trackpad, and it's fixed by, well, deleting said file. Any workaround to that?

Something doesn't make any controller input work, I read in a comment that renaming the xinput1_4 file to dinput8 fixes this issue, but I already have other files named like this from other mods, is there another way to solve this problem?
The CGs in the forest area cannot be loaded but are stuck in the mosaic pictures, and it even keeps the screen loading the mosaic after the dialogue is finished. Delete them then normalize.

It only works on the actual in-game 3d view though, the menus and UI have vignette baked into textures themselves so other mods are needed for those.
Not sure if there's any mods for the cutscene black bars, maybe could be worth looking into some time.

After disable LodMod in NAMH,everything back to normal.
But at the same time I can NOT use any 4K cutsence mods.
