I'm confused, where do I must extract files exactly? Parent folder of my SK_Res folder would be NierAutomata folder, but I doubt that is what you meant.

you can install this mod via NAMH. (I personally can just recomand it.) But if you do it manually, you have a SK_Res folder inside your game folder. (Could also be named FAR or so, depending on what version of FAR/SpecialK you have. But iIrc in terms of this game, it's just two names for the same modification)

All SK mod/texture files go in there. Some mods, like this one, do have an aditionall subfolder structure for an easier navigation and categorisation, since the files themself are just having seemingly random names. But in terms of how the game handels them are subfolders in this SK folder irrelevant.

That is what I mean. If you do that both SK_Res folders should just merge.
Keeping the folder structure intact good practice, especially for games like Cyberpunk where there isn't just one mod folder.
That way, if you install more than one mod and they use different folders, you can just drop them into the parent folder one by one without navigating the game's subfolders. :)

And as Lilo said above, NAHM is probably a good idea! I haven't used it yet, but haven't heard anything bad from it either.

In other words, your files goes in SK_Res\Inject\Textures.
Parent folder means one folder backwards. So, if SK_Res is in the game folder, then parent folder is that game folder.

I mean yeah, thats where they ultimately go. I just made the archive in a way where you can extract it within the game folder just fine.

What's the difference to this mod? (NieR Automata Grid Overlay Removal)
Both seem to remove the grid, grain and vignette but both contain different files.

      ah, I see.
Means I should use this one and not the other for the current steam version of the game. right?

Good evening, and first of all thank you for your work,
but I have a small question:

To correct everything, Grain, Grid and Vignette,
should I just install Remove Everything which seems to contain only the file D93E5729.dds (16.8 MB) and not the others?

I'm wondering because the archives look weird,
the first one for Grain contains D93E5729.dds (8.4 MB),
the second one for Grid and Grain contains D93E5729.dds (8.4 MB) and E2A5B048.DDS (2.1 MB) which I guess is the Grid,
and in the third one, which is supposed to be only for the Grid, we find exactly the same files as the second one D93E5729.dds (8.4 MB) and E2A5B048.DDS (2.1 MB),
while logically if I understood well we should have only E2A5B048.DDS (2.1 MB) if the Grid is supposed to be available alone.

So, in the last archive Remove Everything,
which is supposed to contain Grain, Vignette and Grid, I think the Grid file is missing E2A5B048.DDS (2.1 MB), assuming that the Grain and Vignette texture are on the same file because of the common file that composes them.

Thank you in advance for your answer and sorry for my bad English.

Hi! First of all, don't worry about your english! I can understand it clearly.

It's been a while since I've made this and, to be honest, I was not the most organized person back then.
I forgot to fix this.. I was made aware of it a couple comments below too. Thanks for bringing it up again!

Your assumption is correct, by the way. I just need to add the grid file to the everything archive.

If this should not work (for example the vignette still existing), please let me know.
The in-game vignette is handled in a different way and can be removed with LODmod. This only removes the menu vignette.

Thank you for the clarification and the speed of your response.

I had seen the message in question below but I was not sure I understood, since it was also said that it worked.

So I had a doubt about the necessity of the file for the Grid.

And I take this opportunity to thank you for your Reshade preset and the mod that improves the texture of the home menu.

      Good continuation.

What exactly is the vignette everyone is talking about? Does anyone has an example before/after?

It's the darkening towards the edges of the screen.
There's an ingame one and a UI/Menu/Loading Screen one iirc, UI is removed by this mod, the ingame needs to be removed by LODmod.
I don't have a before & after. The original mod that was used pre-patch might though, it did the exact same thing.

Thank you! Just a heads up though, the "Everything" file only includes the vignette .dds, not the others. Works like a charm though, NAMH even installed it fine without folders haha

Yup, I'll do it today. It's on the same texture actually,
at least I think so. I honestly didn't remember where it was used so I didn't do anything about it. ^^

Hi, I downloaded the grid and bunker grain removal but after a day or two when i launched the game again the grid was back on the screens and i'm not sure why.

I did have the bunker in colour mod installed, but i deleted the file for it before placing the grid&bunker grain files inside the textures folder.

EDIT: I forgot i restarted my computer and didn't launch Special K, it works now, sorry

Thank you so much for this mod, ChaserJZX!

Very much needed (personally) since the other mod got "rekt" from the new patch. I have switched to it personally and have featured it in the guide:

Your hard work and attention to detail is worthy of a Kudo and my full Endorsement.

    Very Respectfully,
