At long last, a worthy replacer for the funky looking ahh vanilla model, rejoice!
I do not know how it looks without New Vegas Reloaded, just a disclaimer! Should look fine, I think.
Chance's Knife - Apart from the new model, the biggest change is the fact that it doesn't have blood on the blade anymore. The reason is this, I found the blood very unrealistic, thinking if I found a turbo cool knife in the post post apocalypse and wanted to keep it, I would clean it. BUT it has charred/rusted blood engrained into the steel of the blade, which maybe even makes it make more sense lore-wise, taking into account Chance's last battle with the Fiends, Fiend Leader who mortally wounded Chance with his Flamethrower, etc.
Combat Knife - It's pretty accurate to the original thumbnail but I incorporated some elements of WW1 equipment into the design. The actual functional looking saw on top of the blade is the same style as on the German WW1 Butcher Sawback Bayonet, the fuller shape is inspired by the same design. The brass parts and the "Skullcrusher" on the pommel are inspired by the WW1 US Trench Dagger.
That's it for now, but have no doubt, more Fallout/Fallout 2 Redesigns are on the way!
