Hi, I was curious if you planned to add the cut hotel on the ultra luxe to the back inside the strip since there is the old outline of the walls going around it in a square shape
Nice! The strip and freeside looks spectacular now.
Do you plan to make a Camp McCarran Terminal Exterior LOD? as it bothers me that the exterior didn't have one which using this mod makes it very apparent.
Been looking at it, some of the tents like that command tent don’t have LOD models, and there’s a concern for a performance cost in a fairly high memory usage area for McCarran. Maybe I’ll release an addon/alt version that adds those meshes separately.
Thank you, I'm definitely be waiting for the addon if it ever comes out.
Although i don't think it will affect performance much, i actually used to use the PCNV Open Camp McCarran to fix the lack of LOD. And that one is transported all the object and NPCs into the Mojave Worldspace, so i don't think i will affecting the performance heavily, especially if it just the objects.
Even though in the description it said you weren't going to move the Strip closer to Freeside, does that also include the view of the Strip from the gate? Because with Better Strip View it does move the buildings closer to the gate as opposed to something like the Lucky 38 looking like it's 15 miles away.
I get that it is technically correct to the in game layout, but artistically the intent was to portray a wider space than that which is seen. Same way the interior worldspaces are larger than the Mojave size would allow. Goal at least for Mojave Skylines specifically is to add structures that would feel natural to the base game.
Pushing them together is also a nightmare compatibility wise, every strip mod needs more extensive patching. Way I see it is there’s a mod for that niche in the form of Better Strip View.
And lastly, a future add on/module will need that space for other reasons.
You could have this as the last ESM, its edits as per the description are lightweight. Only a few records are directly edited, most mods don’t touch them. Goodies seems to be an exception beyond mods that directly edit strip buildings. Future Skylines mods may be less compatible, this one is more no-nonsense lightweight additions.
I’ll see about making a list of confirmed/unconfirmed mods. But the simple way to test these is: Do they change the look of the Strip in the exterior worldspace?
love the idea! i can't use this currently due to being a better strip view user, but i thought i'd ask early in case i ever do end up using it, would the Lucky 38 Remastered mod be compatible? https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/86590
It should be if you load this mod before L38 Remastered (highly likely as Mojave Skylines is an ESM). In the future I'll have native support for it once I move onto Mojave Lights.
