We all know charisma is objectively the dump stat and this is only further made worse in Dust, it's clear to me though that due to the existence of some perks that Dust didn't want to *fully* give up on charisma having some sort of use so neither am I. In addition to all the standard companion functions, you'll have a unique dialogue option to feed the dog, then having a list of options corresponding to appropriate food items in your inventory. Feeding the dog consumes the item (of course) and grants the player a small amount of sanity. (I'd like to implement some sort of needs system for the dog but this is what it's gonna be at least for now.) You'll also have the option in dialogue to heal the dog with a stimpak which will provide a full heal unlike it would through the companion wheel (it also gives sanity like feeding the dog.) This is to make up for the fact that the dog lacks auto healing like other companions have, as to make keeping him around a bigger challenge in its own right. Finally, he has no inventory as he is a dog. Maybe at some point i'll make a patch so you can craft him a bag out of hide or something but for now I think this keeps it far more balanced.
Lines are done using Dogmeats sounds from Fallout 3 (files are sampled, you don't need to own fallout 3 or anything like that.)
