About this mod
This is a small set of tweaks to Immersive Minigames to make the player get shocked when they fail a hack, prohibit hack/lock unlocking with a weapon out, shorten the minimum time for the minigame timer, disable the console print when the hotkey is pressed, and allow Typing Tutor from my perk mod to reduce terminal lock level upon failure.

This is a small set of tweaks to Immersive Minigames to make the player get shocked when they fail a hack, prohibit hack/lock unlocking with a weapon out, shorten the minimum time for the minigame timer, disable the console print when the hotkey is pressed, and allow Typing Tutor from my perk mod a chance to reduce terminal lock level upon failure.
I implemented the hacking shock penalty because I personally don't like the setting to make failed attempts increase lock levels - the bobby pin loss when lockpicking is plenty for that side of things, but that leaves hacking as a pure time-sink at any skill level with no consequence. The shock isn't crazy damaging, but it can be pretty consequential, especially for low health characters. It is reduced by electric resistance.
I turned down the minimum timer for the minigames, as I felt the minimum was still too long, even with the skill-time effect maxed out. This will need to be changed in the MCM as normal, the minimum for the MCM menu is just lower.
The holstering requirement is just for immersion - you can literally see yourself holding a weapon when "hacking/lockpicking" in first person after all. There will not be any message telling you to holster your weapon, because I didn't want to bother.
The console print when the minigame key is pressed has been disabled.
If you have Typing Tutor from my perk mod when you fail a hack, there will be a chance that a terminal's lock level may decrease by one threshold.
Customization:
None of the aforementioned changes are customizable in any way beyond the timer minimum still being controlled by the MCM, and I don't intend to implement any customization of such. These are personal tweaks that I'm just putting up here because I consider them important to balance.
Requirements:
JIP LN, MCM, UIO, Immersive Minigames.
Installation:
Install the original.
Install this patch and ensure that it loads after the original. Load order is otherwise inconsequential.
Please endorse and vote if you appreciate the mod.
Recommended Companion Mod:
Handsful Lockpicking And Hacking will prohibit regular lockpicking and hacking in the same way.
Questions:
Open these factors up for customization?

Make the shorter timer the default?
I hate touching MCM stuff, so no.
