This small script simply and safely disables the corner messages that appear when nearing a radio or entering a toxic cloud in Dead-Money. I made this for my own playthrough and thought it might be useful for others, hence the upload.
They are buggy, play out of sync, crowd your peripheral vision and all the information you need is already provided audibly or visually. I already know my head's about to explode, I don't need 3 seperate messages telling me that!
The only other mod that claims to do this that I could find (after 5 whole minutes of searching) is from 2011 and makes edits to the DLC's scripts, so I decided to make something a little simpler that didn't require a plugin.
Does not disable the effects of either system. Simply the corner messages.
If you want any message back for whatever reason, simply modify gl_DeadMoneyMessageRemover.txt by commenting out the relevant lines with a ";".
Install and Uninstall using a mod manager of your choice, alternatively, add or remove gr_DeadMoneyMessageRemover.txt from NVSE > Plugins > Scripts as required. There are no particular load-order requirements for using this mod.
