damn, should be a restored cut within YUP mod as default. But I wonder why Obsidian disable it in the first place? Is it too unbalanced sd OP as heck with all the perks?
This mod is compatible with STABLE versions of Energy Visuals Plus 2.0 (which essentially are supposed to not touch at all the plasma weapons).
However, NON-STABLE versions of that mod (like the archived 2.3 for me, which does touch Plasma Weapons) are NOT COMPATIBLE with this mod. They need a workaround.
HOW TO:

You would need to search in the EVP+ mod the following file and comment out a few lines from it:
Also, if you want the plasma caster explosion (not the projectile!) to emit green plasma light (no matter which version of EVP, Stable or Non-Stable), then add the following line to the bottom of that very same file:
Note that EVP+ removed lights from plasma projectiles because they can cause crashes. That MAY not apply the same way to the explosion, but you should truly be careful. Test this workaround, and if it causes crashes, undo it! Or redownload and reinstall EVP+!

HOW TO:
FILE PATH: EVP+ Folder > nvse > plugins > scripts > gr_EVPprojectiles.txt
Search for the following lines:
SetProjectileFlag PlasmaCasterProjectile 1 1
SetProjectileFlag PlasmaCasterProjectile 2 1
SetProjectileExplosion PlasmaCasterProjectilezzzEXPPg
SetProjectileLight PlasmaCasterProjectilezzzEVPPJGreenLg
and put a semicolon ( ; ) just before each of them:
;SetProjectileFlag PlasmaCasterProjectile 1 1
;SetProjectileFlag PlasmaCasterProjectile 2 1
;SetProjectileExplosion PlasmaCasterProjectilezzzEXPPg
;SetProjectileLight PlasmaCasterProjectilezzzEVPPJGreenLg
Which will make them to not apply at all.
Also, if you want the plasma caster explosion (not the projectile!) to emit green plasma light (no matter which version of EVP, Stable or Non-Stable), then add the following line to the bottom of that very same file:
SetExplosionTraitFormExplosionPlasmaCasterEffect4zzzLIGHTEVPplasma
Note that EVP+ removed lights from plasma projectiles because they can cause crashes. That MAY not apply the same way to the explosion, but you should truly be careful. Test this workaround, and if it causes crashes, undo it! Or redownload and reinstall EVP+!
