Question, I dropped the files from this mod into my MO2 folder and am now getting these messages when using it. Can they be safely ignored or did I mess something up?

Does Vortex have a similar bug needing fixing? Or is this just a MO2 thing?

Vortex has a lot of fundamental problems that need to be fixed, but this one is only for mo2, as you can't even hide files with Vortex.

will this work on other bethesda games like skyrim, fallout 4, etc? because its just a plugin that skips loading of .git and hidden files

Yeah it works universally, I'm planning to upload it to other game pages such as skyrim and fo4

Question, why not create a pull request on the MO2 GitHub repository to try and get these changes permanently in place?

Why not make a pull request for MO2 for this? I imagine they'd accept this kind of change and potentially implement it in the next update.

I've let the MO2 Devs Team aware that I'm making these changes in their Discord but It seems like they don't really care much about it, so I'll leave it up to them and I don't wanna PR it. I'm also disappointed the fact that it took almost one week for MO2 Devs responding to me when i have issues building MO2. The reason that i even get a response is because i DM'ed one of the Devs.

Anyway yeah this changes are just additions of a couple lines of code so it'll most likely get approved, There's other changes and fixes coming that modify the internal code of MO2 that'll probably never get approved

EDIT: I even see your fork! Make a PR to get it merged, while I have absolutely no reputation in the MO2 dev atmosphere, I'd totally +1 the PR

I need to put these inside the "mods" folder or inside each mod installed? Sorry for being kinda dumb

Just extract the contents into whichever folder you have mo2 in.

It's surprising how much faster things load with this fix and it seems the game also is more stable, but it may be placebo.

Wow, I always assumed that it was a pre-included feature in MO2. What a colossal waste of resources.
Great work! A new must-have mod!
