For anyone actually thinking this is going to help performance, if you have over 1GB of VRAM it doesn't matter how much you lower the resolution/filesize of the textures, when textures are already loaded into VRAM it doesn't reduce draw-calls if you have VRAM left over. For large 2K texture packs you can use "bModifyDirectXBehavior = 1" in NVTF config file to prevent DirectX from mirroring textures from VRAM to RAM and prevent out-of-memory errors.
Nice redditor response. I'm trying to lead people in the right direction if they're desperately grasping at straws trying to get this 14 year old game running well on modern hardware.

Basically this is only useful as a joke mod.
EDIT: nvm, how 2 disable textures completely? or can someone just dump all the dialogue so I can play it as a text adventure in Internet Explorer 5?
