1) Yes i have noticed this too. You're not crazy--it isn't a perfect effect, this game doesn't support actual raytraced global illumination for 100% accurate reflections, what I've done is environment mapped the windows so they are "reflecting" a cubemap - either the one included or the one which gets generated once-per-frame by WallSoGB's Real Time Reflections - NVSE. As a compromise, I left the reflections a little muddy, not razor sharp, to kind of mitigate the obviousness of this issue. 2) Because I have nothing to do with Real Time Reflections - NVSE, please refer to that mod's page for help with your configuration or to leave comments about your experience with the reflections. They may be able to do something about it; I certainly can't. 3) Thank you for trying my mod :3
This effect only happens with the real time reflections mod enabled and unfortunately its very distracting. Otherwise without RTR it is just the same interior reflection for all mirrors (though its my understanding this is intended). Which actually looks pretty good aside from it being the wrong interior 99% of the time.
The author of RTR let me know this is natural behavior as the camera is tied to the player. So its just the nature of the beast it seems. Oh well. Good work regardless!
Unbroken mirrors would REALLY highlight the limitations of RTR-NVSE but I can't stop thinking about this comment. I'm working on SO many things right now but I'll offer a compromise - I am going to do it. They will be unbroken. But they won't be clean and polished! Smudges, dust, streaks... signs of neglect with minimal care. Because Trudy is a delinquent business owner.
There are a LOT of windows in the game, and some mods already exist to address some of them in various ways. So if I do windows, it will probably be one certain type of window at a time (brick-and-mortar store display windows, nellis hangar windows, etc.). That said... yes I have some glass I am working on. My buddy Norvito is also working on some improved glass (the broken refrigerated chests and counters inside shops). Fixing all the glass in New Vegas is gonna be a community effort xD
I see a bit of myself in this mod. But seriously, these new textures really reflect your skill as a designer. It's mods like these that make modern New Vegas shine.
