Thanks for this :) About to try it in TTW with STARS. I didn't realise at first that this included an armband version so I have been using the 2500a mod which worked well but I really want the light up letters.
I do love the look of it, but is there a bug with the armband version where it glows but not much at all? Like the tubes glow faintly but theres no glow in the back, i overwrote the textures on the install, used mod organizer and Its not a big deal i like the look either way just wondering because i like the small things
From installation section: "As mentioned above, this also works for the Glove variant of the Pip-Boy 2500 without issues. Keep in mind that the flickering glow does not work on the glove variant. Flickering glow meaning it still glows but it will not flicker like in the gifs above."
I was meaning it doesnt look the same as in the screenshots, the flicker doesnt work but the lights also dont, theres no backlight and the tubes are very dim though it works just fine with the regular 2500
I know. The arm version does not function like the handheld one. It has access to the new textures and the glowmap, but it does not use part of the glowmap even though it's the exact same as the handheld. It something to do with the way that mod is build.
It can only be the glow map that is being overwritten. You can also just install the mod and choose your options, then take the files out of the install folder and overwrite the original Pip-Boy 2500 mod with the new textures. This way nothing can be in the wrong place.
For my own sanity, I reinstalled the game, installed nvse, installed the handheld Pip-Boy 2500 mod and this mod, letting this mod overwrite the original mod. I started a new game, doc mitchell gives me the Pip-Boy, it makes the install jingle and I open the Pip-Boy and everything works: the skin, the glow, the flicker. It's not the mod, it's you.
I shall mention though that the nvse link on the mod page of the handheld Pip-Boy 2500 mod is outdated. It crashed my game, so I don't know if it could be the culprit for the glow not working. Maybe you installed that one and managed to get in game and it causes the glow and flicker to be broken, i don't know. It's the only thing I can think of that could cause it. If it's not that, it has to be your incompetence.
I saw someone else having the same issue and you mentioned the load order so i moved the pip boy esp to beginning and end of load order and it still doesn't work. Ive dragged the files like you said to overwrite the textures like you said and it just won't work for me. Not criticizing you or your mod but its just not working for me. I saw that your mod has a fomod file so i tried activating it in FOMM and I just get an error.
Fantastic work. I just decided to use this after hours of playing, and this was massively handy to have instead of having 4 different mods doing the same thing. Thank you!
Yea, I had the same problem. It's something to do with the base mod, not this one. It glitches with the animation of unholstering a weapon, it goes away after a couple of seconds. It doesn't always do it, so I just dealt with it.
This just overwrites the textures. If you see the default Pip-Boy, it's either the arm version not properly installed or another mod overwriting it. I didn't really test it extensively with the arm version, but the picture shows it working and I just installed it and overwrote the textures with this mod.
