The Reinforced Combat Armor is one of those goofy armors that checked all the boxes of Fallout 2 vibes, but was sadly hated and soon rendered obsolete by mods such as Classic F02 Combat Armor with less exotic shapes. As one of its strongest defenders i thus decided to follow the trope of excellent mods such as Courier 6 Power Armor or Courier 6 clothes, and present you a new Reinforced Combat Armor, all customized for the Courier himself/herself.
Tired of another playthrough using Riot Gear? (no you won't) Want to keep the idea of being a "Courier" yet want something a bit more packing (but less packing than Power Armor) to deal with the ordeals of The Someguy series mods (that remind you you are a Courier but ends up making you a merc)? Then perhaps this armor (and its possible ally the Psychassist) is for you!
- A new armor set of Courier 6-themed Reinforced Combat Armor: a chestpiece with unique colors and decals + a special helmet with possible togglable nightvision
- A variant of this chestpiece with a Psycho delivery system equipped with a talking system similar to the Stealth Suit Mk II or Medic power Armor (28 different voicelines so far)
- Two versions of the helmet, a worn/damaged version, and a clean one
- 4 new recipes to enable the Courier to switch between the different armor and helmet variants, back and forth
- A special item, the Psychassist motherchip, needed to craft the talking armor variant
- A new workbench category, to simplify crafting of the mod's items
- NEW: Alternative version wearable by Supermutant players using Mariposa Playable Supermutants! (requires Mariposa Playable Supermutants obviously)

Detailed content:
Courier 6 Reinforced Combat Armor :
A goldish/Sand greenish version of the Reinforced Combat Armor, specially customized by the Courier. The Armor adds a 06 decal to the back, and a Mojave express logo to the front chespiece, so that you can quickly establish yourself as a well armed but nonetheless "official" Courier.
The armor is equipped by Jessup (the leader of the Great Khans you meet in Boulder city), who stole it from you after the events of Goosprings. Kill him and finally reclaim your armor!
V1.2 update: During the quest "Boulder City Showdown" or afterward, you can now convince Jessup to give up the armor back to you (Speech Check of 50)
Courier 6 Reinforced Combat Armor (Psychassist):
With enough repair skill, some electronics components and the Psychassist motherchip (find it in Gibson scrapyard, on one of the shelves inside Lady Gibson's house), you will be able to craft the Psychassist-equipped variant of the Courier 6 Armor, an experimental combat rage inducing module, once created by General Atomics for the Pre-War USA.
The Psychassist is similar to the Medic Armor and Stealth Suit Mk II, as it will talk to you and warn you of incoming enemies. During combat (and ONLY during combat), the Psychassist will start injecting you Psycho once your healthbar reach under 60% of your max health, with special voicelines each time it does so. The Psycho injected is taken from your own inventory, but won't cause any addiction, althought it will only last for one minute before the armor re-inject another dose in your bloodstream.
Once your Psycho reserve is finished, the Armor will stop injecting anything and will remain quiet (will still warn you of enemies) until the reserve is replenished.
The Psychassist is supposed to be an alternative to the beloved Stealth Suit Mk II and Medic Amor but for more agressive combat styles. It is supposed to be far less chatty (will only talk when injecting Psycho during combat, so one line per minute, to warn of enemies, and when equipped), and will burn down your Psycho reserves quickly enough but without penalties once it has done so.
If you wish to revert to the regular Courier 6 Reinforced Armor without Psychassist, you can do it via the workbench, and break the armor with a hammer (you will be given back the Psychoassist motherchip in the case you want to recraft the talking armor later).
V1.1 update: As of 1.1, The Psychassist will remain completely quiet (outside of equip voicelines) if you are under 60% and have no Psycho. Being over 60% (with or without Psycho) will make the armor warn you of enemies, while being under 60%, the armor will start its psycho injection effect and its voicelines, but without "simple warning". Its a loophole i found to avoid some script issues, and works quite well
V1.2 update: As of 1.2, The Psychassist is now voice-acted by me, and has now a total of 28 voice lines.
Supermutant update: The Supermutant alternative version enable the player to use the original Courier 6 armor and helmet + additional Reinforced armor components to craft a Supermutant-wearable version. This version can then be transformed into the Psychassist variant or the fixed helmet with Nightvision. REQUIRES Mariposa Super Mutant but not the human version. Do not use both version together!
Courier 6 Reinforced Combat Helmet:
A custom variation of the Reinforced Combat Helmet, painted in the same colors than the Custom Reinforced Combat Armor. Two versions exist: a worn version, with a gun-caused glass damage on the visor and scratches on the headpiece; and a fixed one, with no more scratches and a fixed visor, and which grant you a nighvision effect (toggeable when activating the Pip Boy light).
The worn version can be found in your grave in the goodspring cemetary, having been damaged and abandoned after your encounter with Benny and the Khans (Jessup only stole the armor). Considering the goofy look it has when equipped on its own, a breathing mask from lonesome road is recommended and will be provided near the worn helmet. An alternative can also be the face masks from Masks of the Mojave.
The fixed version can be crafted in the workbench by using items to repair the Worn version. If you want to revert to the Worn version, it is still possible via the workbench by de-repairing the Fixed version.
Plans for the future:
- Increase the numbers of voicelines of the Psychoassist armor
- Add voicelines when you use Psycho without the armor intermediary
- Add voicelines for special occasions
- Add lore notes for the Psychassist
- Add customizations to the Courier 6 Armor with new meshes (help accepted)
