Alternate title: I Forgot to Remember to Stop Shaving Like I Was Still in the Military

I think Boone should stop shaving himself into a smooth bald egg when he starts trying to get on with life. I made a nice mod that does this and brings out his naturally reddish hair (scientifically proven), but it looks strange when you start up a new game and he's not his usual shiny self. So if you install the full version of this mod, he begins letting his stubble grow out when he decides to go back to Bitter Springs, and he lets his hair grow out fully if you get his good quest ending.

I didn't want him to immediately sprout a full beard right in front of your eyes when you ended the quest, and I would have liked to make it so he changes in the middle of the night next time you're sleeping, but even the parts of that that I know how to approach are too much work for me :) So instead he changes next time you load the game. You can just quicksave/quickload, or maybe you can let his appearance change when you actually go to sleep in real life :)

It checks what quest stages you've achieved whenever you load the game, so it works even if you already finished the quest.

But if you made him evil, you don't get beautiful gingerbooneman!

Mod parts:

  • The main .esp has the tweaks to his facial features (I tried to make him slightly prettier without truly changing his features), makes him taller (1.05, so he'll shoot up above Arcade unless you make him taller, too - I recommend 1.08), and gives him real 3d eyebrows.
  • The script changes his hair colour, changes his hairstyle and adds a beard during and after his personal quest
  • The simple alternate .esp gives him the same final healthy appearance - but still even if you've never spoken to him; even if you encourage him to throw his life away. (You could just install it at the right time in his story!)

You could use just the .esp or script from the full version if you only want half of the changes.
