It means that sergeant Astor will likely have his normal voice in the full version. Never used the revoice though, so I don't know if that's any more compatible.
Could be possible to remove the voicelines that are added in as a quick fix on my end or not give Astor a mask. I can figure something out. for real, you've done great work making these. I've been wanting something like this for awhile.
The masked variant lacks a neck, also both helmets spawn on soldiers with the face wrap NCR outfit, which (obviously) causes clipping. Also, imo, the gas mask variant spawns WAY too frequently for how sparingly it would really be used. Regardless more variety is always appreciated. Endorsed.
Hey, I appreciate the feedback! I actually did notice both the neck issue, and the clipping for at least the normal mask, but I thought at the time that it wouldn't be too noticeable with most armors. I am trying to find a good fix around the former. As for the face wrap armor, that's a clipping nightmare that's hard to work around with, so I left it as is for now.
Also good point about the distribution, I'll try to find a better way to work it in.
unless this was changed its because they are added at the same frequency as the normal helmets. I personally removed one entry in fnvedit.
if the script is setup like i think it is, you could also add more of the normal helmets into the list to make them rarer, or remove one if theres still 2 lines adding it
I'm surprised something like these weren't already in the game. If I remember correctly there was something for gas masks during early development but it never went anywhere outside of Dead Money.
There is an early piece of concept art showing a patrol ranger with one that doesn't match either the rebreather or the one from Lonesome Road. I figured that since the blastmaster helmet isn't used anywhere normally, I might make it into something.
Awesome work. Is there any chance there could be a version with just the masks, where they take an armor slot separate from helmets? This would allow the masks to work consistently with replacers like Anniversary Celebration Pack or NCR Combat Armour
I can't guarantee it for the gas mask, but I could try to do something like that for the normal mask. No idea about how to implement it that way though.
