Overview:
This is a small mod that allows you to barter with random NPCs.
This mod was made on commission, to the preferences and criteria of the commissioner. I don't personally use it.

Features:
Press your "grab" key when looking at an NPC, and you will be able to barter with them directly.
Since most NPCs don't have much by way of default inventory beyond a few apparel items and usually a weapon, a randomized amount of food, water, caps/faction money, and misc drinks are added to the NPC when the system is first prompted for that character. Sometimes the random amount added for one of those types of items is zero.
The food, drinks, and caps/faction money added should be appropriate for DC/NV, respectively.
To initiate barter, the NPC must:
Not have a merchant container.
Not be a follower/companion.
Be alive, awake, not in combat, attacking, fleeing, ragdolled, standing in deep water, knocked out, or in the air.
The player must:
Be in the target's LOS, detected by the target, and not sneaking.

Creatures cannot be bartered with.

If you want to switch out the NPC's equipped weapon or armor, you must sell a better item to them, then they will switch to it when you exit barter. If you wish, you can then re-purchase the item that they replaced with the new one.
Items that are currently equipped by the NPC will not be available for bartering.

Customization:
There is no customization present.

Requirements:
JIP LN, xNVSE, Johnny, ShowOff, the usual stuff.

TTW is not required, but natively compatible and accounted for.

Installation:
Regular installation.
Please endorse and vote if you appreciate the mod.

Load order is inconsequential.

Compatibility:
Should be compatible with anything.

Limitations:
The following are circumstances that were not problematic to the tastes of the commissioner, either due to the time sink in getting around them, or because they were unconcerned with them:
The items added to the bartered NPC are not present in their inventory before the system is initiated. As such, pickpocketing or killing an NPC without bartering with them first will result in them having fewer items than if you were to initiate the system then do so. Attempting to work around this by distributing the items that are added natively to all NPC inventories would have imperfections such as potentially providing the wrong food or drink types based on the NPC being in DC or NV, as well as characters potentially not having the intended items, due to actors with templated inventories determining their contents before a script can add items to an NPC's template base.
Adding additional apparel or weapons for bartering could result in circumstances of NPCs immediately getting better equipment than what they have, which could result in them immediately switching their equipped items right before barter actually occurs. Creating scripting to ensure that this wouldn't occur would likely increase delay between pressing the button and the barter menu opening, and demand a lot more scripting work.
I won't be having this system be initiated by dialog. It would be annoying, and result in unvoiced dialog.

I don't plan to do anything about the limitations listed above, as they are outside of the criteria of the commissioned work.

Bugs:
Please report bugs in the bugs tab, not the posts. I get a notification when bugs are reported, but I have too many mods to keep up on the posts on all of them routinely.

Questions:
Esp-free version?
Possible, but it would substantially increase script delay upon initiating the system, due to the lack of ability to create a stable persistent formlist for checking for food without a plugin. I don't plan to implement an esp-free version.

Permissions:
Do whatever.
