I frequently have crashes when I use the thermal vision feature of this mod. Any advice? I'm fairly new to modding, followed the Wasteland Survival Guide for TTW and have added a small selection of additional mods beyond their suggestions, but nothing too crazy.
In case anyone who can't add Night Vision to their desired helm: - Locate the "SimpleNightVision" ini file within the KEYWORDS folder - Find the ID of your desired item (from the console or FNVEdit) - Add them manually (x= <ID of item>), whereas x is the number in the list - Profit
In some cases certain modded headgears are not recognized as legit full head and won't be configured even if added manually.
Hey real quick, just wanted to leave this behind. I may have figured out a possible reason why riot gear helmets don't seem to work with this mod. I actually had the exact same issue and just fixed it right now. To do a quick recap all the riot helmets have a small bug where at base (without yup fixes) are flagged as a mask and hair. YUP fixes this by flagging it as eyeglasses, hair, mask, hat, eyeglasses, etc etc. When the helmets are just only flagged as only a hair and mask this mod won't work with them. Even with the override to vanilla. So to fix this, go into xedit and add the headband and eyeglasses flag to the riot gear helmets. That's what i did, and the edit fixed it for me.
Hey any chance you could implement a way to have different RGB values for different helmets? Green for the riot armor helmet and red for the ranger helmet as an example? At the moment the RGB values are shared globally. Doesn't make sense to have a green night vision when your helmet has red lenses
Greetings! I'm looking forward for this mod but would like to ask a couple things. I currently use Advanced Recon and would like to know this compares to that? Granted this one saves me about 3 plugins worth being a script but does the vision modes use batteries like A.R. does? Is there also Trap Detection?
Rangefinder's fine, there seems to be a separate mod that addresses that.
This mod keeps disabling itself as there's "another night vision mod installed" even though there isn't. I uninstalled Enhanced Vision in favor of this mod, and MO2 says there's no other conflicting mods aside from Radiation Visuals.
EDIT: Found the problem, I had an update file for Enhanced Vision still installed which was causing the problems.
