Very nice addition, but I am having a problem on controller. I cannot drop items in sorting categories. Button X is not working like in normal pipboy. Would love some customization possibility. Maybe I am missing something. Thank you for the mod.
Thanks for the comment. In fact, this is a problem with yUI as the framework that makes this modification work. And it should probably be fixed by the yUI author, if this is possible and rational. It was not my intention to create a second version without categories. But if you need this, you can open the ySI_ExLib.json file and remove all lines from it that contain the word "Category". It would be enough.
I have issues with the most recent update. I narrowed it down to three files. "ySI_ExLib.json" does not sort the Gauss Rifle and 10mm Submachine gun and others. "DSExtendedPatch.json" does not sort the Light Machine Gun and others. "taleoftwowastelands.json" does not sort the 12.7mm pistol, Gatling gun, and others. Here are my files (I did not have DSExtendedPatch.json previously). I can share my save game too, if needed.
If possible, please share your save. Because I don't have this problem right now. And i think the screenshot posted on https://ru.imgbb.com/ will also be useful. Thanks you)
The files I provided are my old files that work for me. I sent them for comparison. Your new files, mentioned above, do not work for me. Here is my save. It may be a mod conflict on my end, if you can't reproduce.
I am using a bunch of ySUI mods. I'll send you my ySUI folders (with your new files in them). If you can reproduce the guns not being sorted, I will find the incompatible ySUI patch based on my mod history.
You should not merge patches to ySI into one archive. You should also not merge archives instead of replacing them when updating mods. Even with your archive, I have no problems sorting the types of weapons you named. ExtendedPatch has been replaced by an updated DSExtendedPatch in the new version. You should not use the old version. I'm not sure about the compatibility of other category mods from other authors. They were probably not designed to be mutually compatible. Try this instead of your archives:
That archive sort of fixed it... Everything is correctly organized, but I am just missing my "Guns", "Energy Weapons", and "Melee Weapons" categories, under the weapons tab, (same with the armor tab) found in this mod.
Edit: I'm not expecting you to make a patch for any mod (although that would be nice). But just tell me if a mod is incompatible, so I can choose between the two.
I have no plans for categories for these types of items at this time. As I already said, with the right balance there is no point in having several dozen types of weapons or armor in your inventory. Maybe I'll make this as an addon when I finish the main work on the basic categories and icons. Regarding compatibility issues, just try this mod separately along with the archive that I sent you. This will not break your game or save, but it may cause a few items to not be included in the categories.
Why there's no sound while i'm cruising though the categories on the pip-boy? normally it plays a sound cue when passing the cursor through the options.
I think this problem is related to yUI as a framework. This mod only uses existing functionality to extend the iconlib. I hope Yvileapsis can fix this when he comes back. But I will try to explore this problem in more detail.
No doubt your addon is very useful for long games where one starts to have so many things that it becomes a problem. By the way you should also make it compatible with the colorful icons addon and extend the categories to other objects such as weapons and armor.
Thanks for your feedback. It's nice to get comments from users) 1. Yes, indeed, my main goal is to create an addon that would be useful when playing with a lot of mods, when you really have a lot of items. Because of this, it may be a little redundant for the original game, although many players find it useful for a long playthrough. 2. I prefer monochrome icon style. This suits the style of the game more, in my opinion of course. Therefore, support for colorful icons will most likely be implemented only when I finish the main work and add as many new icons as needed to the lib. 3. At the moment I have no plans to create categories for other types of items. This is redundant because with optimal balance you don't need to have 20 types of weapons and armor. When you only have a few items, categories can be very annoying.
Lovely looking icons! I assume this works with NV? If so, I'd rename the mod to "- TTW -NV" or something like that, that would make it less confusing. No offense, but I'd probably redesign the steak, it kind of looks like a tooth. Like I said, everything else looks really good! Endorsed!
Thank you for your kind words. Yes, this works with NV, but it will just cover a little less icons. In general, this was created as a small framework for future patches for various modifications, where the existing library is really not enough. A lot of things will probably be changed in the near future, once I have the time and mood to do some work.
None taken! I guess it would have been nice if the author would have asked, or at least credited psychosteve (SkyUI icon library) and me (DEF_UI Iconlibs) which most of these seem to be taken from.
Yes, I could make this subcategories. But so far this is not included in the plans for this mod. Sometimes unnecessary subcategories only slow down inventory navigation. But I could help you make them yourself this weekend. If you want to contact me on discord.

For some reason, your files are broken and do not match those in the new version.
You should do a clean install of the mod with MO2.
I can't find any other reasons other than a patch conflict.
You should also not merge archives instead of replacing them when updating mods.

I tried to make sorting categories, but I could not figure it out. Can you please make categories for any of the following?
No pressure though.
