BOS is awesome, thanks for this! Just wondering what the loot tables are like and what it all covers compared to other mods. This has been done before manually by these mods: Loot All Cars Trucks Golf Carts Vehicles; More Containers - More Loot; Root 'n Loot FNV. The first listed includes car door opening sounds with customized loot for each type of vehicle, which is pretty immersive.
Thank you very much for your mod my friend, but I have a problem in my case I use a mod called Fallout 3 Rebirth - TTW Port. But I noticed that some vehicles that become lootable with this mod crash, causing fps drop and jerks. So I wanted to know if it is possible if you can create a patch to use it simultaneously please.
You should add some other lootable statics like different electrical/mechanical looking statics that can give scrap metal and electronics such as destroyed terminals or those big generators that you can blow up, and whole bunch of others.
Setting "Visible when distant" flag on containers. If some mod set this flag on the item you're replacing and your custom item doesn't have this flag it leads to the LOD problem. Like was with Much Needed LOD.
On that note, it looks like LS_Container_truckarmy02Static needs a VWD flag for compatibility with Much Needed LOD. Was causing stuck LOD around Nellis for me.
Also, I think Car02HulkBodyStatic|LS_Container_Car02HulkBodyStatic is meant to be Car03HulkBodyStatic|LS_Container_Car03HulkBodyStatic in the INI. There aren't any objects with the original IDs.
An unintended consequence of this mod is that when there is food in a vent (https://i.imgur.com/hIdk29w.png) Doc Mitchell will walk into the walls trying to get it out to eat (https://i.imgur.com/3qFMHXk.png). Personally, I just went ahead and removed the "Prewar Snacks" from the loot lists of vents in FNVEdit as I imagine this could also happen with other NPCs at some point during a playthrough, but perhaps there are other solutions to this little quirk as well. Other than that I've no complaints, so thank you for implementing this.
With BOS there's a way to set stuff to only be replaced a % of the time - Perhaps this could be done so that not *every* vent or tree has loot, and is just static or an empty container?
This might help alleviate some of the issue with an over-abundance and balance things out more. a 1/3 chance seems ok imo

You seem to have fixed it, so I'd like to know for my own personal mudding.

In the Base Object Swapper .ini
Add this to the end of what ever you want to have chance to be replaced with a container version:
|NONE|chanceS(50)
at the end of each line, so example:
Truck05|LS_Container_Truck05|NONE|chanceS(50)
you can adjust the (50) to whatever % you want, and 10 means each instance has a 10% chance to spawn, and 50 is a 50% chance.
I use 50 so a half-half chance of a container being a lootable variant - But only for select ones like containers that are overly abundant.
