Based. They also say not to install Project Nevada and DUST but I've been using them both with TTW New California Frontier for 50 years and I only crash once every 12 seconds
Hey everyone! this guy did something differently lets go admonish him then go download viva new vegas 6 more times and talk about how bad project nevada is!
It’s not about doing things differently. There are methods that work and methods that don’t. Those who don’t know what they are doing spreading misinformation as fact are pretty dangerous. Whether intentional or not.
Project Nevada IS an outdated, and clunky mod that has been superseded in the majority of its content by mods like Cyberware 2281and Helmet Overlay. There are better ways to do the majority of the things it instituted in ways utilizing script functions released after NEVADA that result in a smoother, more effectively coded experience.
I'm sorry...I just have to mention something regarding misinfo.. It can be dangerous, but only in a society where stuff has gone sideways and backwards! The only real danger should be to take info as fact without looking into it, regardless of how it may be presented. In other words, it's not bad info that's the real problem, but how you choose to consume it! (which should be the natural way to go about this but is now considered ancient knowledge)
Because I dont' see how it could possibly work when TTW replaces the train station entirely, in the vanilla worldspace. Its not going to magically make the train station door move to the open freeside one. It will also break the scripting so the map will be wrong in the pipboy.
Really the thing that gets me is that this was made because they didn't know to put patches after the mods being patched. Regardless of what you say about LOOT, it doesn't mess that particular patch up. Mainly because it doesn't put ESPs (the patch that didn't work for byrdworker) above ESMs (YUPTTW).
Yeah, you don’t need to modify the YUPTTW esp for it to work with TTW as intended. You will only have problems if you then install mods that have conflicts. In that case you will need to make a patch to run them without problems. Removing records from YUP in order to make some arbitrary mods you use “compatible” is a recipe for disaster.
