About this mod

Adds a chance to receive minor injuries from a number of harvestable plants.

Requirements
Permissions and credits
Anybody who has lived in the Mojave knows how annoying it is to wind up with cactus spines stuck in your hand. Now your character can share the pain! And free food isn't so free anymore!

There are now three types of debuffs you can receive while picking plants, derived from their real-world effects:
  • Cacti will prick you with their tiny spines, leaving your hand irritated for one day. You will receive a small reduction to your maximum HP and AP.
  • Horsenettle will sting you and leave your hand irritated for 12 hours. You will receive a small reduction to your maximum HP and endurance.
  • Thorny plants like Yucca and Agave will just deal a small amount of instant damage.

The likelihood of being pricked by any plant is inversely proportional to the sum of your survival skill and luck attribute.

You have a chance to resist all damage which scales proportionally to your endurance attribute.

Each of the aforementioned factors are multiplied by modifiers which are customizable in the INI. By default, survival is multiplied by 1.0, luck by 3.0, and endurance by 5.0.

This was implemented using an event handler, so it is compatible with literally everything that modifies or adds new plants. If you want to add or remove certain plants from being affected by this mod, then just tweak the Keywords INI.

Support:
I can help you most effectively on my Discord.
"But I hate when modders want me to join their Discord!" - Yeah, tough luck. I hate trying to give support on a site where the comment and notification systems barely even function. It's almost like having a centralized communications channel is useful.

Permissions:
As always, I grant everyone permission to do whatever they want with my files in terms of merges, patches, translations, fixes, modpacks, etc.
