Converts the Mysterious Stranger perk to behave more like it did in Fallout 1/2, wherein the stranger would randomly appear at the start of combat and help until it ended or he was killed.

This mod replaces/revamps the Mysterious Stranger perk to behave like how it does in Fallout 1 and 2. The Luck requirement has been reduced to 5, and instead of appearing in V.A.T.S., the Stranger now has the same 10% chance to appear any time combat starts, controlled with the fVATSStrangerOdds game setting. In addition, he no longer wears his trench coat nor is he armed with his instakill magnum, instead his gear is now level dependent and scales with you, similar to Fallout 2. Past level 10, he gains higher tier items at levels 15, 20, 30, and 40, starting out with just Reinforced Leather Armor and basic pistols/rifles, then ending with T-51b Power Armor and heavy weapons.

Upon succeeding a chance to spawn, he will appear behind the player with a musical cue, increment the He Moves in Mysterious Ways challenge, and will follow the player until either he is disarmed, killed, or combat ends and at least 30 seconds has passed, after which he will vanish. He will attempt to do so outside of line of sight, so you will likely never see him actually phase in or out. While active, the Stranger cannot be talked to or traded with, any items picked up by him after his summoning will be passed on to the player as he leaves. After disappearing, or failing to spawn, an entire minute must pass outside of combat before he can attempt to appear once more.

In short, by default he has a 10% chance to appear once per minute at the start of combat.

Do note that Miss Fortune is entirely unaffected by this mod, and will behave as normal.
