Background Radiation for Fallout NV (BR-NV) is a mod which makes radiation poisoning a constant danger by increasing the player's rads per second while not in an interior cell, either by 1 rad/sec (Static Version) or making the figure depending upon the player's endurance. (Variable Version)

Description:

Background Radiation for Fallout NV Static (BR-NV-S) is a mod which makes radiation poisoning a constant danger by increasing the player's rads by 1 per second while not in an interior cell. Having always felt that radiation was a bit of a "paper tiger" in Fallout 3 & NV, and feeling that I never used Rad-X and seldom needed to use Rad-Away, this mod aims to make radiation more threatening.
STATIC VERSION -
Disregarding radiation resistance, at 1 rad per second, it would take approximately 16mins 40sec for the radiation level to go from 0 to a fatal dose of 1000.
VARIABLE VERSION -
Rate of Radiation Damage (Disregarding Radiation Resistance):
1 & 2 Endurance - 5 Rads/sec 0 to 1000 Rads in 3mins 20secs.
3 & 4 Endurance - 4 Rads/sec " " 4mins 10secs.
5 & 6 Endurance - 3 Rads/sec " " 5mins 30secs.
7 & 8 Endurance - 2 Rads/sec " " 8mins 20secs.
9 & 10 Endurance - 1 Rads/sec " " 16mins 40secs.

- Legitimate copy of Fallout New Vegas
- Old World Blues
- Lonesome Road
- Honest Hearts
- Dead Money

Installation:

1. Download the mod from it's mod page on Nexus Mods.
2. Unzip the 'Background Radiation for Fallout NV Static v1.0' OR 'Background Radiation for Fallout NV Variable v1.0' ZIP file with your unpacking software of choice.
3. Place the 'Background Radiation for Fallout NV Static.esp' OR 'Background Radiation for Fallout NV Variable.esp' into your "Fallout New Vegas > Data" File.
4. When loading up the launcher, make sure that the plugin file is checked.
5. Enjoy!
