Thanks for checking the mod out. I wondered the same thing, I think those locations are either cut out of the final game or they're just not very distinct and hard to find. I always thought the background on the Bethesda screen was near Goodsprings but after taking a closer look I'm not so sure.
I think they might've been mojave areas very early on in development, given how simplistic the mountain range is and the lack of texture detail on the terrain.
