Millenia's Weapon Retexture Project is one of the most popular mod to spice up vanilla weapons back then. The textures, while not all of them might suit everyone's taste, are relatively high quality and really brings new feel to the existing weapons. However, WRP declines over time implementation wise, even now being a must-avoid mod if you want minimal problems, not to mention authors such as anonx1987 and the AWO Team bringing their own versions of weapon replacers, with superior implementation through scriptrunners.
But that's not the end of WRP, as this mod, intended for vanilla model enjoyers and diehard Mil fans, brings back WRP to life! With fixed UV, scriptrunner implementation, optional TTW support, and slightly smaller file size as the result of the new implementation, this might be another option to consider if you want variations for your vanilla weapon replacers.
