I was just looking for a mod like this just recently. I came back to New Vegas and was shocked I didn't remember that armor breaks so fast. Anyway, thanks for making it!

Actually if you're using the latest version of JIP it has a bug that makes armor degrade faster right now.

Yeah. Setting bIgnoreDTDRFix to 0 fixes the degradation issue but also makes the game revert to how DT/DR are resolved in the vanilla formula.

Huh, so that's why my power armor broke in like two seconds.

Did you add any scripts to stop Stewie's Tweaks from overwriting your changes apparently miguick had to include some stuff for that in Armor Damage Overhaul?

The script in my mod modifies a value that is queried by the Damage calculation formula but it doesn't actually change how the formula works structurally. Armor Damage Overhaul wants to turn the vanilla damage system off so it can replace it with its own system. My mod is more Vanilla+ with perk flavor sprinkled on top. My goal was simply to make armor degrade at a rate that doesn't make the repair skill or repair NPCs obsolete but also more in line with how weapons degrade on a per-encounter basis. Since it's based on a script that isn't baked into the perk effect it is also very easy to patch without breaking a save game because the actual changes the perk applies are initiated whenever a savegame is loaded, rather than associated with the perkID specifically. If I want to nerf or buff the effect in a patch, then no permanent changes to armor degradation calculation have to be accounted for.

      As a side note:
This also means that as long as an armor damage mod queries these same values for damage calculation my mod is technically still compatible. Although I assume that it would probably affect the intended balance of the mod author.

It's definitely working my leather armor reinforced no longer goes to half condition from two stray BMT Night Stalker bites.

Thank you so very much, I'd only just caught on to the armor degradation issue after updating JIP LN NVSE yesterday and was uncertain as to how to remedy it, so this comes as a very pleasant surprise!
