As a contributor to NVMIM, I'm happy to announce quite a few meshes (somewhere around 90, it was some stuff that was in my WIP folder) will already be patched with Unknown10 in the next update!
Which'll hopefully be out within a week or two, I think we'd want to go over every-everything with env mapping? Wondering about weapons now too, if zilav gives us the button will someone just make a big TTW patch, keep fix-fixes separate from "we've added the flag and rika or nobark will actually address the mesh sucking later down the line"? Will someone update WMIM? I foresee people relying on the override setting in this for... a while.
Sorry but I can't get it to work, tried the settings you've sugested here in another comment, enabling high quality and nothing. Not sure what I could be doing wrong. I use the ENHANCED SHADERS - ENB, some retexturing mods, I don't use NVR. Did I miss something in the description?
So if I'm reading this right, for just basic functionality, not accounting for any needed texture tweaks -Find the part of the mesh you want to have reflection -go to its BSShaderPPLightingProperty branch -go to Shader Flags 2 and enable the Unknown10 flag, uncheck Envmap_Light_Fade if it's enabled -save file
Sounds easy, unless the bits you want reflective aren't its own separate block But you can mask the texture to make everything else non/less reflective right?
Might have a go at patching all the meshes I can find that might benefit from this at some point, time permitting I'm greatly considering starting up a new load order for NV in the near future so I can definitely devote some time during that to try and put out a proper pack of meshes/textures set up for this
Idk if this will even help anyone but I was just messing around in the ini and disabling a bunch of mods to fix my screen flickering, but the culprit was a stupid nvidia filter I had enabled from the overlay
Could this mod potentially cause NPC's eyes to look different? They all look very glassy in my game and someone pointed out RTR is the likely reason. If so, is there a way to have this mod not reflect eyes?
how do i get the reflections to see me? and how do i make them show the place im in? like in freeside i wanna see a real reflection and not the cube map?
When pairing this with NillaPlus MIRROR MIRROR, the mirror reflections magnify significantly the further away you are. The only time it looks even close to accurate is with your face smashed right up to the mirror. Is something configured wrong? or is that just the nature of the beast?
I see. Rather unfortunate in that scenario as I find it incredibly distracting, I guess I will be playing without real time reflective mirrors. Looks good in other scenarios though. Good work sir!
Hi I am new to modding and I know this must be a stupid question. But what is an INI and how do I access it? What settings do I need to tweak in order to set up this mod properly?
EDIT: Yep, it was a stupid question. For anyone in my position, right click "Real Time Reflections - INI" in Vortex Mod Manager and click "Open in File Manager", then open the file with Notepad to edit settings.

I am playing TTW with a weather mod that removes green tint but all shiny stuff like weapons and armour still have green tint present.

My specs are:
Intel i5 4690
Nvidia 1050ti
12 gb ram
-Find the part of the mesh you want to have reflection
-go to its BSShaderPPLightingProperty branch
-go to Shader Flags 2 and enable the Unknown10 flag, uncheck Envmap_Light_Fade if it's enabled
-save file

https://imgur.com/a/OJDGz6b - two images with both realtime reflections enabled/disabled.
is there a way to fix the issue?
thanks in advance
Edit: nevermind, figured out how to edit the shaders in question through nifscope
