[What This Is]
This adds a "King"-themed radio station, which plays some basic copyright-free rock-and-roll music to The King's Club and adds a Pip-Boy radio station with said music along with it. What this DOES NOT add AT ALL is any copyrighted music, because obviously, galaxy-brained people know New Vegas didn't need and couldn't afford that special someone. May as well deal with it. It DOES doubly serve as a framework for other songs, too, but nobody is gonna be a bad enough dude to successfully "chad" their way past getting memed and damned to Oblivion over using unlicensed music in mods for aging computer games. Not even me.
[What This Does]
+Adds a radio station to your Pip-Boy that plays a small, albeit fitting-to-the-club selection of tracks by Silent Partner and GhostVoltage. Read the ReadMe for more details and more. +Small filesize because it uses .ogg files instead of bulky .wav or .mp3 files. Optimization! +The King's School of Impersonation now has some proper ambient music to rock about to. It's not much, but it'll do. +On that note, the speakers in the Club that originally played The Tops music have been set to "Initially Disabled", likewise with the jukebox upstairs. +Originally started working on this in 2018, I've since retooled this mod into what I call a "functional framework". You can remix and remux your own tunes for it, but don't be an idiot and try to share them. You'll get major dweebs on your case if you do. +This doesn't include any overpriced copyrighted music, so you have no need to dig out a wiki and quote the all-mighty Joshua Sawyer to cite his licensing woes, or send literal death threats towards me over a mod for an aging video game. +No support will be given, condoned, or tolerated for anyone redistributing or otherwise repackaging this with other any other files, replacements or not. You have been warned. +Added a GlobalVariable to all versions, which you can set manually via console to make the station stay enabled no matter what.
[Update History]
(3.00) +Redid the volume leveling of every music file in both versions of the mod. Now they are compatible with an upcoming project. +Redid the static attenuation of each individual Sound form entry to work properly with the updated music files. +Fixed a slight error where I exported one of the HiFi versions of a music file as stereo and not mono as intended.
(2.50) +Redid the mod from scratch. +Removed DLC / TTW Requirements. +Added some new music to the mix. They are all documented. +Adjusted Static Attenuation for all songs. +Redid the playlist in a way that it won't repeat itself as much as before. +Revised the BAT files and their documentation as well. +Please remove old versions of the mod completely before installing the new version.
(2.00) +New FOMod Installer, DLC and TTW support added, and added a GlobalVariable that can be set to always enable the station. (1.00) +Re-done from the ground up based on earlier work, but with major soundtrack changes due to very unappreciative and often brutal feedback. Enjoy this version instead, wannabe-doorkickers and square-brained death-threat-flingers.
[Music Credits]
There's an additional text file, "AC_SongList_KingsClubRadio_Redux.txt", that details all the music used in the mod. It is also included in the Misc Download section.
[Disclaimer]
This is a completely-for-fun and not-for-profit mod, and required a lot of work, research, and tinkering to get right. Comments are disabled, for hopefully painfully obvious reasoning. It DOES NOT and WILL NOT include any overpriced, copyrighted, or otherwise damnable audio that unappreciative dweebs and slow-footed squares can complain and meme about. You're just getting the basics. While it DOES double as a plausible framework for other music to be used in place of what's included.... You'll have to make your own cool radio station mod with that in mind. Have fun with that, wannabe-doorbusters! Also, under no circumstances are any of the contents of this mod to be redistributed, repackaged, sold, re-recorded, or supplemented directly or indirectly. Again, make your own cool things, but don't share them. I have ZERO tolerance for and will take ZERO responsibility for the actions of people foolish enough to try repackaging this with anything they think may be more "appropriate". If you wanna screw around, you'll find out right quick what can go wrong. You have been warned!
[Conclusion]
Thank you for checking out this mod, runnin' around the wasteland, and rockin' around the clock with The Freeside Kings.
Also, if you ask me here or anywhere else to have the comments section opened, swift action will be taken. So please don't.
