Some assistance. I'm on the last page of 'utilities' for viva new vegas. Every other mod seems to be installed correctly, except this one isn't showing as being installed properly. I'm using the texture version. Do I need both files? Or is it because despite putting my settings in the launcher as 'windowed' the game still starts up full screen?
+1 to this, same issue. VNV says to use it "instead" but on Nexus it shows the other option as main and texture as optional; can both be added? SHOULD both be added?
I am currently having the same issue. i have tried both presets and tried them at the same time to no avail.
Edit, im stooopid, you need the original NVTF which is the link about the ini link when following the guide. Once you have both downloaded insal the NVTF and leave it named NVTF, then add the texture ini NVTF and move it below NVTF in load order and it should work.
Just a heads up, which may not even be necessary, but I think if you use the NVTF - Texture Modding Preset you can't alt + tab out of the game anymore. The solution seems to be to edit the Fallout.ini file, the FalloutPrefs.ini, and the FalloutCustom.ini files. Set "bFull Screen" to 0. In the launcher, or in the FalloutPrefs.ini file you can set your monitor's resolution. Under "Display" you should see the following:
iSize W = [put your screen width size here] iSize H = [put your screen height size here]
In my case my settings are iSize W = 1920 and iSize H = 1080. I have windowed unchecked in the launcher, the resolution set to what I just wrote, and full screen set to 0 in all those ini files.
To be honest, I don't know if you need to set your monitor's resolution in the FalloutPrefs.ini file that's in your documents folder or in your profiles folder (if you made a profile in MO2) or both.
As for setting bFull Screen to 0, I did that to every Fallout.ini file, FalloutPrefs.ini, and FalloutCustom.ini file I could find, just to be sure. I found those files in my documents folder and in my MO2 profiles folder.
The alt-tab thing is already mentioned in the description. And the solution of running in windowed mode is mentioned there too. Also editing Fallout.ini FalloutPrefs.ini is a bad idea. You only need to edit FalloutCustom.ini.
NVTF currently have a /win32 error code: 193 message: "%1 is not a valid Win32 application/ for some users ... the whole DLL is not loading and that is why in the game it says - not installed. Its has nothing to do with the INI files. The funny part is ... a lot of people might have non working nvtf.dll without even knowing it :)
Does Desert Natural Weathers count as a texture mod? I mean it obviously changes and adds many textures to the game, but does that mean that I should be using the Texture Preset version if I use DNW?
You know you need to switch to the Texture Modding preset when you run out of RAM with the normal preset, since that setup will have VRAM copied in RAM. Using the Texture Modding preset also means that you won't be able to Alt-Tab back into the game unless you use windowed mode or DXVK (ideally both by following this guide).
Is there any way this can include something in the ini that limits fps in lock pick screen I've played around in the ini and this has limited everything else to get a smooth-running Hunka and kept fps down around 100 but in lockpick I'm getting over 2000fps its SOOO sped up I just can't open safes lockpicks insta break XD.
I'm playing TTW on my fallout 3 stage, so not sure if this is the one that will help. if unable I will just go back to using hacked lockpickingš¤£
So do I set triple buffering to 2 to enable it? Or does 1 mean enabled and 0 means disabled because I'm confused at the description sorry also does this mod work with DSVK?
