Kind of a late reply but assuming it was installed correctly, it may be a compatibility issue with another mod or mods that edit races or eye colors. They tend to not work together because they end up overwriting eachother's changes. I think people usually try to merge the mods somehow when this happens but i usually play pretty light on mods so i don't know for sure.
