This is very satisfying as we need more old WWI and WWII weapons with dedicated kNVSE sets like these.
By the way, how's that update for the improved MP-40 textures? I love NS weapons as they are performance-friendly but some want a shiny chrome paintjob too.
Amazing. I have only ONE complaint, and it's more of a nitpick than anything, from what I can tell, the animation is showing the gun firing from a closed bolt. But in reality, the MP40 is an open-bolt submachine gun, meaning that, to fire, pulling the trigger just lets the bolt fly forward and strike the round, the recoil causing the bolt to fly back and repeat the cycle. Gun nerd rant over.
So I went back and checked in game in slo-mo and in my blend file, and as it turns out i've already animated the open bolt properly. It might not look like it because the original model doesn't have a big, visible cavity when the bolt is open. It's kinda subtle.
Is there any chance you can update this to include the v1.3 mesh? the old versions are not available on the main NS MP-40 mod page and I can't seem to get the dimensions right by editing through nif.skope.
Oof, they were available when I released this. I was already planning on doing an update to my set with some improvements, but in the meantime I'll see what else I can do as an alternative. I'll probably have to figure out the scaling in nifskope and update the file to include the meshes.
If i remember, i'll reply in this thread when i'm done to let you and others know. Thank you for bringing this to my attention.
