All good mods have a sticky post from the author at the top of the comments.
PLEASE NOTE: With the recent release of Xilandro's magnificent B42 Optics, I have updated the Compatability section of this mod with the following information:
There are a few compatibility issues that can be easily fixed by editing the following settings in the configuration ini file: 1) Set iDefaultScopeMode to 0 2) Set fSwitchingKey to anything that isn't the FOV swap key. There could be more issues with B42 Optics, please report any you may come across
iDefaultScopeMode=1; Sets the default scope mode when switching to a scoped weapon. 0 is Iron Sight mode when switching to a scoped weapon, 1 is Scoped mode.
set to ON/YES
+
Having this line on "nvse_stewie_tweaks.ini":
; disables zooming when aiming with non-scoped weapons bDisableWeaponFOV = 0
set to OFF/NO
Prevents the "NO ZOOM" bug/glitch.
It's working fine and again. TY for keeping up with the bugfixes and updates of the mod.
If you use the cover based stealth mod, in order for this mod to work correctly, you need to change the peak around corners setting to "vanilla/inactive"
great mod it's just a high price to pay for the vanity key disabled for controleers really love walking and just looking at my precious little ranger armor
Been going in circles with the scoped weapons not zooming in like they should after switching from 3rd person to first. I do have Project Nevada installed and i know its a mess file wise and it does have the option for zoomed scopes of which dosent seem to effect it weather its on or off. even after looking at the INI files from the stuck comment it all checks out. I think its worth mentioning too I have Titans of the new west 2.0 installed as well that took me here for a recommended mod. Zooming works as intended if i stayed in 3rd person switching from Irons to scoped view but its the changing from 3rd to 1st thats been the biggest pain for scoped weapons. Another thing is the jittery camera zooming in and out, like its moving too fast for the camera to make it a smooth transition. I know there is options for it in the files I guess I just wanted some guidance here.
No support for anyone that has Project Nevada installed, thing is an absolute mess of compatibility issues and it's not recommended for use for this exact reason.
I can promise you this is not the only issue you're going to face if you have PN installed, it's just the most apparent one at the moment. PN is broken, alternatives exist, going against good modding practice and installing old mods will break your game, it's really that simple.
Even with the settings set according to M4v3r1ck13's stickied comment, aiming with non-scoped weapons still doesn't zoom in sometimes, though it initially did fix this problem at first.
really wish i could change the keybinds in game via the mod configuration menu. i tried changing the keybinds myself in the ini file, but they were still the same keybinds as the default when i tried to use it in game
Either you didn't save the ini file before closing, or your ini file has been set to read only. Either way this is an issue on your end, the ini file works perfectly fine when modified correctly.
I'm having the same issue. The files themselves remain changed but changing the value still retains the default keybinds in-game. I suspect it's related to TTW or a mod in Capital Punishment.
Edit: I fixed it. It was a conflict issue. If you're using the Capital Punishment modpack, you have to edit the QS3rdPerCamOverhaul.ini in the "Capital Punishment Casual/HC Resources" folder as opposed to the default .ini.
"Enhanced animation Lean" isn't a mod, I have no idea what you're talking about. Please describe what issue you're facing exactly and provide a link to the mod you're having issues with.
i believe they mean the leaning feature present in this mod, Enhanced Movement. In its description, it claims that the lean feature will hook into your camera mod, automatically swapping shoulder position for leaning in 3rd person.
I'm also having issues getting it to work, but this is an issue with that mod, not yours. Yours works as intended.
I know why the wheel is disabled by default, but I was hoping that there was a button to toggle between the Vanilla camera and the one from this mod :(
Your original question: "I've searched everywhere, and for the love of me I cannot find the vanity mode key, is it just outright completely disabled?"
What the description says about this exact topic: "To re-enable the vanilla POV key functionality (i.e. the Vanity Camera [the one you can rotate to look at your pretty character] and the ability to swap POVs instantly in a single keypress [without holding a key down]) you can change the keybind for the camera shoulder swap key to something that isn't the POV swap key"
What exactly were you asking that isn't answered by what is written in the description?
"Sit down and learn to read", said the guy that literally did not read my comment. I repeat, that's not what I meant in my follow-up comment, I mean I elaborated on that afterwards didn't I?
"I know why the wheel is disabled by default,I was hoping that there was a button to toggle between the Vanilla camera and the one from this mod"
A: "There's no such thing as that" would have been enough, Jesus Christ I don't know why people on the Internet have to act like d*cks for no reason when it takes literally 5 second to type just no, like I know how to CTR+F you know?
since no one decided to answer your actual question, the vanity mode key is the same as the button to switch between first and third person in vanilla, by just holding that button down. you can't rebind it on its own
I absolutely did answer his question thank you very much. He doesn't need to "toggle between" vanilla camera behaviour and this mod, if he wants this mod to function normally and keep the vanity camera, all he has to do is change the binding to something that isn't the POV swap key, as is stated in the description. Nowhere in any of his comments does it indicate clearly that he's looking to decouple the vanity camera from the POV swap key, and I don't appreciate the tone implying that I'm being difficult or deliberately unhelpful from both of you. I've answered the question I believe has been asked, if the question hasn't been answered please give me more information as to what you're trying to actually do instead of short vague descriptions of something resembling something you're trying to do. I can only work with the information I'm given and the questions I'm actually asked.
I got it working but the camera keeps resetting for some reason.I tried putting the ini to read only but it still keeps on doing it. I have every prerequisites,no other camera mods and no other mods conflicting with it
Thanks for the reply!Actually it's all ok now!It was some camera mod I had installed manually that I forgot to remove lol.I removed it and your mods works fine now.Anyways thanks for the mod!
I'm using Begin Again modlist (TTW), and VATS is configured to LB, which is also used my this mod for switching camera. Is there a way to make them compatible?
EDIT: I disabled shoulder swapping in INI, if there's a better solution, I'm interested.
Hoping maybe I can find some help I'm getting an error that says my JohnnyGuitarNVSE is out of date, so the camera overhaul won't activate. However, just to make certain, I downloaded the most recent JGNVSE (which I already had) and plugged it in. No luck, though. Not sure where to go.
You either haven't installed the latest version of JohnyGuitar, you haven't installed JohnnyGuitar correctly, you haven't installed xNVSE correctly, or you aren't launching the game with xNVSE. This is an issue on your machine, not an issue with the mod.

2) Ctrl+F
3) Type "Vanity Camera"
4) Read extra large text highlighted in green
