I’m not going to go and troubleshoot your setup for you. As I said there is absolutely no way this mod can’t work. You either have something else overwriting it or you have installed it incorrectly.
Yeah I'm having issues too, with both resplendent rugs and stupendous seats, all of my other texture mods are working fine, archive invalidation on and off and nothing. I've also managed rules to make sure these textures are loaded after everything else and they aren't working for me sadly.
Then they are installed incorrectly. I don't use Vortex but I'm betting its setting an incorrect file tree. Either look and check that its correct manually or better yet use MO2. Vortex may need to have a data folder present at the top of the tree (no idea why it would, but the whole manager is full of stupid decisions). This mod just works on MO2 and manual installations and this is the first I hear Vortex has problems with this file structure so I'm betting its user error.
The file tree looks fine to me, I still changed the file tree to data>textures etc anyway like you said and it's still not working, it's very strange. I'm running 70 texture mods and every single one of them are working. I've tried disabling the mods that had conflicting textures aswell just to make sure that the textures were vanilla. All of my other texture mods were installed the same way. I really don't know what it could be, It's probably a Vortex issue.
Just wanted to give an update, It appears my Vortex had Archive Invalidation issues which I've never encountered before. It has always worked in the past. It made me realise that even some of my other texture mods like NMC's Textures weren't loading properly either, some were and some weren't and I didn't notice since I have so many texture mods and a lot of them actually worked. Either way I made the switch to Mo2 and everything is working just fine now. Thanks for the mod.
Both NMC and Ojo/Poco Bueno do this, but NMC just upscales it with old upscaling methods, and Ojo/Poco adds bloodstains for some reason, this looks much better. It could use a normal map though, even if it's just being used to overwrite the normal map from the other ones so they don't clash.
i used to use those old "retexture" mods as a base, but recently removed them. i honestly think the game looks so much better :') it's not deep-fried anymore.
Nmc is basically the same as vanilla. I can’t tell the difference in game. Ojo like you said is basically the same texture with a load of blood decal’s added. I might do a normal if I feel like it but honestly the vanilla one is so faint to be almost non existent anyway. I doubt anyone could tell the difference in game.
