[What This Is]

A comprehensive improvement and port of gunnars2's "Chinese" Machine Pistol and my Leveled Patch for it, with the aim to implement it into leveled lists and the intent to keep it lore-friendly. Well, as lore-friendly as it could be, given it's resemblance of a VZ61 Skorpion. Intended for TTW players.

[What This Does]

+Adjusts the Ammo Type to .32, making it just a little bit closer to the Skorpion that it seems gunnars2 was attempting to create.
+Adjusts the Clip Size to 10 rounds, with a Weapon Mod option to increase it to 20 rounds.
+Adds the .32 Machine Pistol and it's Weapon Mods to several leveled lists, including Vendors,
Raiders, and a few common Wastelanders. Chances are you'll see it along with other lower-level pistols while in the fray. If you see too many of them, please let me know, I'll work on that. Make a backup save before installing this mod, just in case.
+Includes more options for repairing a damaged .32 Machine Pistol, meaning you can patch it up with a common Chinese Pistol as much as you could with other .32 MP's. Might include other .32 weaponry in the repair list if the demand comes about.
+Fixes to the model were done to map the right textures to the right parts, which was done using NifSkope and referencing the original file locations for the textures used. I also took on the challenge of adding Weapon Mod models, and results are looking good. Combine this NEW higher-resolution textures for 1st person models, and you got yourself a sweet sidearm.
+There's the original location of a free .32 Machine Pistol that can be found in the Big Town Red Clinic's "Light Box" from the FO3 mod, so if you're really looking for one while in the DC area, it's still there.
+There's also a new location for another free .32 Machine Pistol that can be found in Doc Mitchell's Clinic, in a similar box as before, while in the Mojave. If you want a quick start with this weapon, it's there for the taking.
+Both freebie box containers respawn their contents after a while. May update the "Light Boxes" to both include the weapon mods as well, instead of just the Mojave-side one.
+Oh yeah, native ironsights support! I use ISControl for New Vegas, you can find that here.

[Update History]

(1.0)
+Initial Release, looking forward to constructive feedback to help improve the functionality of the mod.

(2.0)
+Extensive "rework" of the mod; after some feedback, I decided to aim for staying true to the model's supposed original intentions.
+Removed the moon runes on the main part of the pistol, as well as updated textures all throughout the different models.
+While it may still internally go by "Chinese Machine Pistol", that's only for compatibility purposes. In-game, it's called the .32 Machine Pistol, and does so without breaking current playthroughs (hopefully).

(2.1)
+Got the weapon stats and handling a lot better than where they were before.
+Updated the "Light Box" containers to have a decent amount of ammo, and both have the NV-style weapon mods included within.
+Added more repair options: .32 Cal Pistol and 10mm SMG.
+Considering making a backported "Unique" variant for the FO3 version that is basically a fully-modded version of the gun from NV. Will research that soon.

(2.4)
+No longer adds things to the leveled lists via script, since the GECK wiki seems to recommend against it. Instead, added things directly to leveled lists in the editor windows. Just in case, use Wrye Bash to make a Bashed Patch.
+Made the gun less lower-level focused and somewhat intermediate-ish. After testing it in-game, it was admittedly a bit OP for early usage.

(2.5)
+Added a separate version that does things the old way (additem scripts), and plan on keeping it synced with the main file.

[Model / Mod Credits]

The original model was custom made by gunnars2, and I would like to thank him for making it available on the Nexus. Without that as a base, this mod wouldn't be possible.
However, it should also be noted the model was compiled of what seems to be original Bethesda-made assets, given the use of default textures in the model file. Big thanks goes to Bethesda for those.
Major thanks to the TTW team for making it possible to run around both the Capitol and Mojave Wastelands in one massive post-apoc survival experience. I've recently started playing it again, and it holds up well with the right amount of tweaking.
There was also some scripting involved, which I learned how to do from various mods that incorporate items into leveled lists. Thank you to any mod that does that.

[Disclaimer]

I tried every which way to contact the original author for permissions, but it seems they have been banned from the face of the earth and into oblivion. It's been years and I still haven't heard from them, so not much I can do there.
That said, I would have gladly asked if I could, but I'm unable to locate him. I'm hoping and praying that he or anyone else won't mind this mod, so long as proper credit is given wherever it is due.
Though I was unable to formally obtain permissions for some things, I still made sure to give credit in both the .esp plugin's "Author" field and in the ReadMe text file included with the files.

[Conclusion]

FO3 Version available here.
NV Version available here.

Thank you for viewing, and I hope many people are able to enjoy this little supplement to the Fallout world.

If anything needs some adjustment or fine-tuning, just ask. Meanwhile, have fun!
