    Anyone having issues with Essential Caravan Merchants - I'm not able to reproduce the issues.

    Please make sure that JIP LN, JohnnyGuitar, and Improved Console are all installed and updated to the latest version. 

    Edit: After asking around, it's apparently just Scriptrunner being slightly flaky.  There's no reason in particular and no specific fix.  Generally speaking, at some point it will eventually start working for you.

    I don't know if maybe the guide told me to do this and I didn't notice, but I noticed that there was a default INI for MAPMO in my overwrite folder that was I think was overwriting the custom INI from this page. I fixed it the normal way to fix overwrite folder stuff, but not everyone knows to do that, so I just wanted to post this to make sure it's mentioned.

      We no longer use the custom INI anyway, it now has a preset.

    When starting a fresh save in the Mojave Wasteland, why are there no additional points to distribute for SPECIAL when creating a character? Each stat is set to 5, but there are no additional points like in vanilla New Vegas. Is this as intended? I don't see a setting that changes that (or at least can't tell which one).

    Hi!! If the Uncut Wasteland + Extra Collection plugins are flagged as .esms, does that mean you can move them among other .esms in the load order?

      Yes, that's how ESMs work.

    Do you recommend updating while in a current playthrough? And if so, do we "merge" or "replace" in MO2?

      Updating should generally be safe. Adding/removing mods mid-save is not. You can do either one, as long as it's replacing the correct files.

      Bugger, I was really curious to try that out.

      I'm guessing making it compatible with certain mods in the guide like Rebuild the Capital would be too much (IE too complicated or time consuming)?

      It is completely incompatible with RTC and no patch for it exists.

      Also BTW, whenever you update the guide do you think you could specify in the changelog if it's mid-game safe or if you'd have to start a new game like what they do for the ModdingLinked guides (Viva New Vegas and The Best of Times)?

      it's hard to really tell for sure if updates we make are mid-save safe or not. i planned to, but it's really just not worth it. assume all updates aren't save-safe.

      ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ i can't know 100% if a mod is safe to add mid-save or not, as that would require completing an entire playthrough every time i add a mod. i'd hope users well-versed in modding can guess what is "safe-save" or not. i mean, s#*!, every update since the 20th of janurary hasn't been save-safe. you aren't required to be up-to-date with the guide at all times. finish your playthrough and update after that. i maintain the guide because i like to do it. i'm not obligated to invest more of my time for something which, in the long run, doesn't really matter. if YOU want to make a pull request and add your own safe-save warnings, i'll gladly push them to the main guide.

    Could I not install the MoreMojave terrain LOD file if I generate my own LOD instead? Same question for the WSG LODGEN files. I have followed the WSG and installed most if not all of the relevant mods that would affect LOD generation, but I've installed other landscape, quest, and texture mods that weren't included in the WSG.

      You can skip them if you generate your own, those files are for people who don't.

    Isn't useless the Sweet Pain - FPGE Patch now that the updated version of the mod doesn't have the record of FPGE that was modifying?

      Yeah, it should be known that I don't do any of the work - the only reason it was originally posted in my name was due to a panic mode moment after the previous host pulled everything down.

      We're keeping stuff here so as not to break old links and bookmarks, but I do not deserve any credit for anything here.
