Immersive Lockpicking
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:
YOU MUST read and follow all instructions correctly.
YOU MUST install lStewieAl's Tweaks and enable the appropriate settings accordingly.

Step 1) Install "lStewieAl's Tweaks and Engine Fixes"
1b) Make sure to download the "Stewie Tweaks INI" file in the optional files section.
1c) "lStewieAl's Tweaks and Engine Fixes" requires "xNVSE"
1d) Make sure these files are correctly installed before proceeding.
Step 2) Enable the Tweak "Force Lockpick No Break Lock"
In the Stewie Tweaks ini file, it's "bForceLockpickNoBreakLock"
(make sure it's "= 1" to enable)
In-game, in the Tweaks menu, it's labeled "Force Lockpick No Break Lock"
2b) Enable the 'Tweak Setting' "No Lockpicking Without Bobby Pins"
In the Stewie Tweaks ini file, it's "bPreventUseLockWithNoBobbyPins"
(make sure it's "= 1" to enable)
In-game, after selecting "Force Lockpick No Break Lock," make sure the box next to "No Lockpicking Without Bobby Pins" is checked.
Step 3) Installing Immersive Lockpicking:
The package contains 8 different esp files. Here is a breakdown of what each version is and requires:
ONLY CHOOSE ONE
Manual Instruction:
The file you need is easily installed manually. Open the archive and drag the meshes and textures folders and the esp file of your choice with right click and copy (not move) into your New Vegas Data Folder.
Otherwise, installation with FOMOD is recommended.

Details:
The player always has a screwdriver when lockpicking, but there aren't actually screwdrivers in the game.
This mod adds screwdrivers to the game. You cannot lockpick or even enter the lockpick screen without a Screwdriver equipped.
GAMEPLAY:
The implications of requiring a Screwdriver to pick locks is going to make certain areas and aspects of the game more challenging.
At times you may not immediately have a screwdriver so you'll have to search for the items you need to progress such as keys, keycards, passcodes, and etc.
*Eventually, I will be updating this mod in the future. This update will be inconsequential. You'll be able to download the update and use it in your current save, no problem.
COMBAT:
You can lockpick while in combat but doing so is more dangerous; you must unequip your weapon and equip your screwdriver to pick the lock. Screwdrivers can function as a last resort weapon but they are weak, have low durability and can't easily be repaired. You're better off waiting to pick locks until after combat is done.
WHERE TO FIND SCREWDRIVERS:

You can acquire Screwdrivers through bartering and looting certain types of containers.
Certain NPCs have a chance of carrying/selling one.
I have also placed a handful of Screwdrivers throughout the game world.
In a few areas, Screwdrivers have been hidden amidst piles of rubble/debris/trash.
There are NO handplaced Screwdrivers in Honest Hearts, Lonesome Road, Operation Anchorage Simulation, or Mothership Zeta.
You may still find a Screwdriver in containers in these locations.
If you want to lockpick right off the bat, be sure to pack your Screwdriver.
